Summer took my car to work today so she could try and find some tires for me, and so I wouldn’t be on the highway with bad tires. That meant I did more driving than usual, but we made it to work without too much trouble. I definitely missed my Model 3. I was still feeling pretty behind all day, so I did my best to catch up. I brought a Soylent and worked right through lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Johnny called a couple times, and I had to juggle him with being a little busy myself. I ended up on the phone with him for about an hour, trying to explain subnetting of all things. He’s going to have some trouble in a school that large, but if he sticks around, he’ll have a tremendous opportunity to learn and leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My day dragged on a bit, but then it was over before I knew it. I got some of my stuff accomplished, but there will be more tomorrow. There always is. I ended up leaving late, and then put the whole back seat cover in so Muad’Dib would have more room for the drive home. We’ll be in the Model Y for at least another day or two, so I didn’t want him to feel cramped in the tiny, single seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We made it home and found Summer in the tub. I finished up the pork chop and most of the veggies, and put up a few Vine things before taking Muad’Dib for a run. I tried on some bone conducting headphones that I had just gotten, and they came with a little rubber strap to help hold them on a little tighter. We weren’t even half a mile down the road when I felt a snap, and the little strap had flown off far enough that I couldn’t find it, no matter how hard I tried. It had to be in the grass somewhere, far off of the road. I really tried to find it, but it was just gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It wasn’t miserably hot, but it felt more oppressively humid as the evening went on. We made it to my parents’ house where Mom was cleaning up while Dad was out to dinner with friends. I developed an ocular migraine, so we waited around for Dad to get home, then made it home in the sticky dark. Summer was in bed, so I did my best to wrap up quickly and hit the sack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
