Granularities

It was an easy drive in today with full cloud coverage relieving my car of any glaring light. I jumped right back into NetBox and worked on that all day long. Teisha stopped by my office sometime before lunch to ask if I had seen the McDonald’s Grinch Meal, so that’s where Muad’Dib and I went. The restaurant was an absolute cluster, full of people standing around waiting for corrections. I’ll never understand what gets that place so out of sync. You’d think the computers would do it all for them. I’ll happily take a robot-assembled hamburger with less drama.

Muad’Dib got in trouble for climbing out of the back seat, and I had to tie him up while I ate. Then we took my new Grinch socks back to the office to show Teisha. I lost myself in NetBox in the afternoon, finally grasping some of the minutiae. If anything, we will be over-documented when I’m through with that place.

We left a little late and got home to run Muad’Dib in the dark. We visited my parents and was pleasantly surprised that they seemed hip to go see Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox this weekend in leu of the kids. We quickly finished our run in the dark, and then the girls wanted to go out to eat.

I quickly changed, and the three of us took Muad’Dib to La Huerta to eat alone on the porch with a singular heater. I was surprised that neither of them complained of the cold, because the heater wasn’t doing much for us. I think what helped the most was the fencing that kept the wind out. We had a good meal, then came back to the house where Summer went to bed and I did some cleaning up, shuffling of things, and set some rat traps. Eaddie left to study, and I eventually raced to bed.

Let’s scrub some carpets!
