Today was finally the day to move Heaven out to her new office/shipping container. I got in and things were fairly quiet, but it wasn’t long before I was running all over the place. Johnny called me pretty early too, because he had a switch that went out, and he had no idea what to do. I was years out of practice, but I tried to give some general guidance. I knew he would need to call someone that could really help him though.
Heaven eventually called to say she was ready, so we moved the few things she had out into her new office. I felt bad, because the window unit is super loud and sits right behind her head. She seemed to like it though. I had to run out a couple times for other stuff, but by the end of the day I think we had everything working.
I considered skipping lunch again, but finally gave up out of hunger and the need for a break. We ran to Wendy’s quickly to grab some cheap lunch, then ate it in my office. The afternoon went by fairly quickly, and I ended up leaving about half an hour late because I was trying to figure out a firewall rule for my printer VLAN. Then I thought I was going to Pottsville to help Johnny.
I ran home to grab a console cable for him, since he couldn’t find one anywhere. I couldn’t find mine either though, and ended up eating some brats with Summer. She had cleaned up and got everything ready for us so I could eat and run, but Johnny ended up getting a hand from one of the guys at Next Step Innovation.
It felt like it got dark fast. Eaddie came home for a bit since she was finally finished house sitting. Then she left again, and I took Muad’Dib out for a shortened run. It wasn’t miserable out, but it just felt hot and bad. Muad’Dib didn’t want to get going fast, so I cut a few blocks out of our run to get to my parents’ house. Then we didn’t visit long before heading home.
Summer had already cleaned up and sets the trash and recycling out for me, so I quickly got my own stuff done and headed to bed.
These late drops are killer.
