I was busy all day at school, but when I got home I had a little
time to relax some. I got bored 2nd period and wrote Rachel Trusty
a boring little note because I don't really have anyone else to
write to. Later, I spent about 3 hours in the darkroom developing
film and working on other stuff. I'll probably spend several hours
in there again tomorrow making prints. During 7th period, I worked
in the darkroom and talked to Cassie Hilgerson some. After school
I went home and rested for a very short while before heading out
to take pictures of the Christmas parade. I got fed up with Windows
98 locking up constantly, so I installed Windows 2000 before I
left. The parade was cold and boring, and I didn't really take
any pictures. People were pushing all around, and I didn't see
many people in the parade other than the band, which went by before
I could do anything. After that I came home and got settled in,
I started going through Windows Update and installing service
packs for Windows 2000. I think I'm about ready for bed now.

I didn't get much sleep last night, but that was expected. The
morning wasn't great because I left later than I wanted to, and
then all of the sudden my mom jumped out and said to take her
to Wal-Mart so she could take the bus to Tunica. You'd think I
might deserve a little bit of a warning, but it wasn't until I
was heading out the door that my mom said I had to take her along.
Being late already, I sped on over to the new Kroger to meet Bryan,
who said they didn't have any kazoos like we needed. From start
to finish, my mom griped about how I was driving, which made me
mad because she was the one that was making me late in the first
place. I wasn't planning on going that far out of my way, and
I had things to do for school in the morning. Luckily I got everything
done on time. Our English play went on fairly well, and it was
good to be done with it. All of my other classes were boring.
I spent another couple hours in the darkroom doing random things
for people. At the end of 6th period I went to Mr. Lonon's class
to talk to some friends that were in there. Rachel Trusty saw
me, so she just slowly wandered over towards me and stood next
to me. I asked how she was doing, and she said, with her head
down, that she was really tired. Then I told her I talked to Chris
Sanderock 3rd period on MSN Messenger, and her face lit up and
she jumped back with a huge grin on her face. I'm glad I could
make her feel better, even if I did have to mention someone else's
name first. We talked about him for a few seconds and then she
went on to talk to someone else. Mr. Bradley was gone 7th period,
so I left physics to work some more in the darkroom. After school
I sat around for a little while talking to people and then came
home. After a little while I had to go to Wal-Mart to drop off
a car for my mom. Then I came back home to relax some more. This
week's been too long. I feel like today should be Friday already.

11-28-00
I've been busy all day today. I got to sleep a bit in history,
but after that I didn't have a split second of free time. I spent
two hours in the darkroom making contact sheets. Tomorrow I'll
probably be developing film and making prints. After school I
had to go to the end of the drama club's dress rehearsal and then
take pictures of the basketball game. After all of that, I came
home for a few minutes and then left again to go looking for a
place that sold kazoos. I went to 3 different places, and none
of them had any. I would have gone to a couple more places, but
they were closed. I bought a package of cheap noise makers and
came on home to gather my props for the English play tomorrow,
and then started work on my calculus. Finished with that, I began
writing my lines for the play. I'm converting a total of about
5 lines into as many as possible, adding whatever bit of humor
into it as I can. Tomorrow morning I'll have to get up early and
go meet Bryan Bramlett at the new Kroger to try and find some
kazoos. Hopefully tomorrow won't be as busy as today, but this
isn't even half of everything I have to do this week.

11-27-00
Today started out alright for a Monday. I got a little bit of
a late start, but I made it to school on time. I spent two periods
in the darkroom developing rolls of film that I have collected.
The day was pretty smooth sailing until I had to take pictures
of the dress rehearsal after school. The drama club (I think it's
the club that's putting it on) is doing the play "The Best
Christmas Pageant Ever." Since I won't be able to get up
close to take pictures of the actual play, I had to be there to
catch the dress rehearsal. I left there around 5:30 and came on
home where things didn't get much better. My parents are really
pushing me to remove a paragraph from one of my logs on the page.
I've sworn and sworn again never to go back and edit a previous
log, but to save myself a hell of a headache, I've decided to
go back and edit the disputed log. This week is going to be too
busy for me to have to worry about other people getting in my
way. I've got things to do, and I need to have full control over
myself to get it all done. I can't do that with other people hounding
me about other things. The editing will have to be done tomorrow,
as I'm not sure exactly which log they're complaining about. I've
been trying to keep to myself for the past couple of days so I
can stay focused on what I have to do this week.
|
11-26-00
I woke up this morning. You might be asking what's so different
about that than the past few days. The main difference is that
I woke up this morning rather than afternoon. I need to get my
sleep schedule ready to go back to school tomorrow. I can't believe
It's Sunday already. This break has gone by too fast. I just sat
around the house working on this page and some on Sarah Hindsman's
page. The new Cow-Patty Link of the Week is up, and I'm starting
to post results on the previous links. I'm still trying to decide
how I want to display the results. If anyone has any ideas, please
feel free to e-mail me at rdoops@tcainternet.com.
On the subject of the site, it seems that my dad has told the
rest of my family about the page. It's actually kind of cool.
Every time I turn around, someone's either reading my daily logs
or looking at the pictures. I knew this stuff had to be of interest
to someone. The only problem is they don't like some of the things
that I've written about them in the past. It is to be noted, however,
that these logs are written and often exaggerated at the heat
of the moment. The mood of my logs depends almost entirely on
my mood when I'm writing it. You'll notice that I haven't written
anything bad about my family in a while, as I haven't had any
conflicts lately. I do love them all very much, but they do annoy
me occasionally, and they need to realize that this is my home,
and my place to vent any built-up feelings I have.

11-25-00
My dad and I went to Heber Springs today. We figured it'd be
nice to go see the family once more before his Chicagan sister,
brother-in-law, and 3 nephews head back up north. We talked, ate,
and then goofed around for the rest of the evening. John showed
us his nifty automatic paintball gun, we took turns playing Joust
on my grandparents' old computer, and then everyone left. My neck
hurt for some reason, perhaps from the tension of being in the
driver's seat both ways. After I got home, I helped Sarah Hindsman
with her site a little, and talked to Justine Fitzgibbon and Kasey
Garrison for a little while over MSN Messenger's voice chat feature.
That's my day in a nutshell.
|
11-24-00
 It's
cold in here! It's been cold all day. I woke up around noon and
have been munching on Thanksgiving leftovers all day. My cousin
Randy came over to play Red Alert 2, and then I finally got him
off of my computer so I could play a little. Other than that,
today's been pretty dull. I got my senior portraits back again.
These look even worse than the first ones they made. Someone got
a little too happy with the clone brush and made me look like
I'm made out of some cheap plastic material. I could have done
a better editing job myself. I figure I'll just stick with what
I've got now though, because I don't care enough to go get my
picture taken somewhere else, and I don't feel like sending these
back to Lifetouch.
I spent what felt like forever at www.AmIHotOrNot.com,
but eventually even THAT got boring. I also spent a little time
looking at some different ways to do things on the site, but for
now I think I'll stick with what I've got. I did update the News
page though. There's going to be a Quake III Arena tournament
here in December. Check the News page for more information. I
also added a closeup of none other than Rachel Trusty to the Pictures
page. I've had the picture for a while, but hadn't reinstalled
my scanner software until tonight. While on the subject of the
site, it seems I've had another visitor. Carl Harris came and
voted on all 3 of the current Cow-Patty Links of the Weeks. I've
never even heard of him, but my dad says he knows him from work.
I don't think my dad's telling anyone about the site though, so
that can't imagine how Mr. Harris would have found it, unless
perhaps he has a son or daughter that knows me. In all actuality,
none of this matters. I was just excited to find out I had another
visitor. Looks like the almighty Galloping Cow has 4 now: Jared
Fitzgibbon, my dad, Mr. Harris, and me. I just knew the popularity
of the site would explode! Eat your heart out, Jerry Yang (cofounder
of Yahoo.com)!

11-23-00
First of all, a big happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I hope you
all had a good time stuffing yourselves. I don't think I'll be
able to eat for another week or so. We had a bunch of my dad's
side of the family over. We probably had about 20 people here,
several of which were little kids. Some got on my nerves a little
with the way they kept messing around with things they shouldn't
have, and the way some of them were whining the whole night. I
guess that's just a part of being a kid though. I tried to get
my computers up so we could play some network games, but the HP
was being uncooperative, and would barely run, even with the Voodoo
in it. Jared Fitzgibbon came over after everyone was gone to pick
it up again. He's sending his Geforce back tomorrow, so hopefully
he'll have a new one soon. I realized how very much the Voodoo
helps this machine when I tried to play Tribes without it. I'm
starting to miss it, but for as little gaming as I do, it will
be of better use in Jared's machine.
Off the subject of Thanksgiving and the day in general, I think
the site's got a new returning visitor; my dad. Before I think
Jared and I were the only two that ever visited the site, so it's
good to hear someone else cares about what I have to say. Maybe
when I have some real content on the site, more people will keep
coming back, making me the richest man on earth. Galloping Cow
Mail sounds so much cooler than Hotmail. Maybe when I move the
site to a real server I can start up a web mail server. Wouldn't
that be fun? Hey, it worked for Yahoo!

11-22-00
Today's a cleaning day. I woke up to the sound of the doorbell.
Abbey had come, as promised, to return the camera I had loaned
her. After waking up, I played Red Alert 2 trying to finish up
the last of the Soviet missions. I'm now on the last mission,
but my dad made me quit and clean up my room for tomorrow. I don't
know why my family can't just keep their cool at times like this.
I always get things cleaned up my way, and I wish they'd leave
me alone about it. I've cleaned up most of my desk, so now I need
to work on the floor. I may do that tomorrow and just finish up
my game of RA2 tonight. Jared Fitzgibbon got bored and made a
page for the Galloping Cow Version 2.0. I won't show a preview
of it just yet. I want to play around with a few other ideas before
I commit myself to this one. I hadn't even planned to update the
page at all, but Jared did a really good job on it. Maybe I'll
have an update for the page sometime soon. Hope everyone has a
good Thanksgiving tomorrow!

11-21-00
Today's been an interesting day. I got out of class a bunch to
do some yearbook stuff, but I didn't really miss anything. For
dinner, my dad and I went to my aunt's house because she cooked
her big Vietnamese meal to remember her mother's death. After
that I had to go to the basketball game to take pictures. I didn't
have my zoom lens though, so I didn't get very many good shots.
I just went under the basket and up above the court and got maybe
15 pictures. I talked to Abbey Lipsmeyer about when I would get
my camera back. She was supposed to have it at the game for me,
but she said her mother couldn't bring it for whatever reason.
Then I was going to follow her home to get it, but after the game
she decided she wanted to go hang out with some of her other preppy
little friends, so she said she'd bring it to me this morning.
After I got home, I sat down and played Red Alert forever until
I started falling asleep.

11-20-00
It's been a very nice, quiet day today. I got to school a little
late because my sister wouldn't get ready in time, but all was
well. All of my classes were taken pretty lightly because of the
upcoming Thanksgiving vacation. Tomorrow I think I have a couple
tests, but it shouldn't be a problem. I worked in the darkroom
5th and 6th periods, and then went in the last part of 7th period.
I made a big mistake though, and developed a roll of color film
that Mrs. Little gave me for the game last Friday. I guess we
don't get those pictures now, unless we can somehow still enlarge
them. I doubt it though. After school I cleaned up in the darkroom
and wandered up to gather my sister up so we could go home. I
got home and just sat down to relax on the computer. That's about
all I've done today. With this upload, I'm going to go ahead and
make up comments for each of the previous Cow-Patty Links of the
Weeks. Hopefully my friend Brittany Anheiser will have a picture
for me to put on the Pictures page soon, but I haven't seen her
on in a couple days. I also updated a little typo I made on the
Pictures page. One of the picture's alternate text had a misspelled
word.
|
11-19-00
Today's been pretty slow. I woke up fairly late in the morning
and got on the computer to play around a bit. I put up the new
Cow-Patty Link of the Week, and updated it with a feature so I
now have a place to comment and ridicule each page, and then at
the bottom you can vote on how bad you think the page is. I may
count votes at the end of each week and then upload the final
results, or I might update the results every night when I do my
daily log. I haven't decided yet. I'm going to try to get CGI
access so I can have all of this automated for me, but I'd have
to learn how to do it all. For now I guess this will do. I may
also add a small guestbook in the same format. In the afternoon,
my parents decided to go to Little Rock, so my sister and I sat
around the house eating a couple pizzas we ordered. I finished
the Allied missions on Red Alert 2 and then just sat around the
rest of the day. When Jared Fitzgibbon is done with the Soviet
missions, I'll probably swap CDs with him and give those missions
a shot. The game was a lot shorter than I had expected, but with
so many different units and options, I think it'll make a great
multiplayer game. I'm glad we have a short week of school this
week. I'm certainly going to enjoy this 5 day weekend. Hopefully
I'll have a lot of time to work on the site.

11-18-00
I'm in a bit of a better mood today. Since so much happened yesterday,
I'm going to go ahead and cover the basics now. School was school.
The only thing different was that we had a bomb threat, the school
was packed with cops and bomb dogs, and we had a pep rally. Mr.
Lemley got me out of 7th period to take a picture of some softball
girls to promote their fundraiser. I took some pictures at the
pep rally and some other stuff. Then after school I went around
and did some stuff, I think. Then I went home and played Red Alert
2 some. At around 5:30, my sister wanted to go to the tailgate
party at school, so we went there. When we got there, she looked
around and marveled, "This is IT?!?" I explained to
her that what she saw was, indeed, "it." I didn't feel
like going back for a coat, so I just stayed out until after the
game was over. All I had on was a thin, long-sleeved shirt and
jeans, so I was nice and icy out there. In fact, I lost all feeling
all over my body and nearly passed out a few times. I could barely
keep upright, see straight, or, for that matter, use the camera.
My joints stiffened, so I had to try and keep moving so I could
still handle the camera. Half time was spent sitting/laying on
the ground half dead. A couple people stopped to see how I was,
and I was truly grateful for them. After the team got back, I
got up to take some more pictures. Later in the game I went out
in front of the cheerleaders to get some pictures of them, and
some preppy jerks were yelling at me. One of them, I think Gray
Roach, threw one of the white, plastic footballs at me. It stung
a little, despite the lack of feeling in my arm. After the game,
some cheerleader chick, whose name I cannot recall, came over
to trade me some cheap plastic earrings for my camera with the
zoom lens. She said she needed it for a hiking trip, but I don't
believe her. She was such a brown-noser the entire night. I hate
people like that. After that was said and done, I went home and
spent several hours trying to thaw out. I nearly burned myself
in the shower because I couldn't feel how hot the water was. My
body had ceased to create any warmth at all on its own.
Today I slept and napped and rested all day. I finally regained
some amount of body heat and got up around 3:00 in the afternoon
and watched Space Balls, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,
and the first few minutes of E.T. all in a row on TV. After that,
I played a game of Red Alert 2 and talked to a few people online.
That was the extent of my day.

11-17-00
I'm in such an unbelievably bad mood, I'm just going to say SCREW
today's effing daily log. Good NIGHT!
|
11-16-00
There's too much going on this 9 weeks of school. I'm tired of
it. I'm tired of just about everything right now. When I got to
school, I walked in with Nikki Barr. When we got to the table,
no one would even acknowledge her presence, but they all greeted
me as usual. That was just plain ridiculous. First period English
was boring and useless. Calculus was boring and repetitive. EAST
lab was somewhat annoying, seeing how I've had to remake my skeleton
about 5 times now. History was useful towards finishing our busy
work in there. Olin Rankin brought his computer into the yearbook
room simply because he had some pictures on it that he wanted
to show Mrs. Little. I took the liberty of stealing his password
and getting on so I could play a nice game of StarCraft, which
I haven't played in forever. I kept right clicking things to deselect
them like I do in Command and Conquer games, but obviously that
didn't work, as the controls are different for the two games.
Then during 6th period I flew off to Sequoyah to take pictures
of the honor society reading books to the little kids. I made
it back about 5 minutes late for physics, but that was alright.
We didn't do anything in there anyway. After school Rachel Trusty
was talking with Beth Scott and her boyfriend, so I sat around
for a little while until Beth and her boyfriend left so I could
go over and talk to Rachel. After a little while we started walking
out to the parking lot, and stopped to talk to Matt Kobs. Then
on the way into the parking lot, I saw Chris Sanderock of all
people. I ran up to give him a hug (just fooling around, of course),
but apparently he was there to see Rachel and not me, so I just
walked away without a word and went to my car. I saw Olin with
his hood up in the other parking lot, so I went over to see what
he was up to and then left for home. When I got home, I took my
Voodoo out so Jared Fitzgibbon could come pick it up, and then
just laid back in bed until he came over. After he had gotten
it and left, I laid back again and napped until around 5:30 or
so. I played around on the computer some and then walked over
to Jared's house to loan him a couple CDs, and then took a walk
around the neighborhood while I was out. It was cold, but it felt
good to be out under the sky, despite how cloudy it was. I could
make out a few stars.
|
11-15-00
Today was rather interesting. My mom ran down the hall banging
on doors to get us to wake up for whatever reason. Another 30
seconds and my alarm would have gone off, the ignorant she-devil.
I took her to the Wal-Mart parking lot so she could go to Tunica,
and then headed for school. Our student teacher gave us an activity
to do in English for Act II of Macbeth. After that all the seniors
went to the cafeteria to listen to a Jostens representative about
how to get ripped off. I looked at the catalog and have come to
the following conclusion:
Cap, gown, and tassel - $20.50
Mini tassel key ring - $8.50
Senior T-shirt - $14.00
Senior sport shorts - $16.00
Look on the faces of the seniors when they see how Jostens is
ripping them off - Priceless
After that I worked on bones some more in the EAST lab, did some
busy work in history, and then got out for lunch. Olin Rankin
was checking out, so he let me borrow his digital camera for the
day. I took a couple pictures of the gang eating lunch. Then during
yearbook I took some pictures with my real camera. After that
period I took his camera to Mr. Lonon's class for a little while
and took some more pictures there. They had an unannounced fire
drill, so we all went out for that and then came back in. I got
a couple more pictures back in the class before Mr. Lonon banished
me. Physics was the same old boring thing, so when we got out
I walked Rachel Trusty to her car. After she left, I wandered
around for a little while and then saw Mark Harris, apparently
his girlfriend, Beth Hayes. Beth couldn't get her trunk to close,
so I tried to help with that. My sister came out to get me before
we got it fixed though, so I had to take her friend Andrea home
again. Not many people were online when I got home, so I played
several games of Red Alert 2. Not once did I get to see Tanya
in any of the movies, but oh well. Jared Fitzgibbon has finally
agreed to take my Voodoo until he has his video card fixed or
replaced. I updated the Pictures page with the pictures I took
with Olin's digital camera. Other than that, my evening has been
utterly unproductive.

11-14-00
I've had plenty to do today. We took a test in English over Act
1 of Macbeth. Then we went over some more stuff in calculus. A
few people in my advisory class started making a banner for the
game this Friday. After that I built a stickman out of bones in
LightWave in the EAST lab. Then we did some busy work in history.
I burned my tongue on some hot chili during lunch, took a bunch
of pictures in yearbook, and followed Rebecca Brown and Amber
Kastner around the school 6th period. They were hauling around
big bags of paper for recycling, so I got a few pictures of them
and then helped with a big box of paper. After that I wandered
around the science classrooms and went through a maze of doors.
Then when I actually went to physics, we talked about circular
forces. After school I took some pictures of set building for
the Christmas play, and then took my sister to a dentist appointment.
I dozed off a couple times in the car waiting for her to come
back out, and then we came home where I played around on the computer
and, at random intervals, worked on my heroic couplet story for
English. It's not fun, the story sucks, and I'm having a problem
ending the story, but I think it will be alright. Now for a nice
hot shower. I'm cold sitting here in front of the computer!
|
11-13-00
There's not too much going on today, all things considered. We
almost got to school a little late, but thanks to my superior
driving skills, I managed to get us there in plenty of time. We
read Macbeth in English, went over some more stuff in calculus,
and did more busy work in history. Then in physics we did some
busy work as well. That was pretty much my academic day. After
school I helped Beth Post carry some, chocolate I think it was,
out to the back of the building where I assume she was waiting
for her ride. After that I came back in and had a little incident
with Rachel Trusty. I took her little art project and ran away
with it. She got me back later by pushing me into the mud when
we got out of the building. I landed on my back and got mud all
over my clothes. Despite what she had done, I got back up and
caught back up to her so I could walk her to her car. She laughed
at me the entire time. Then when she left, she tried to run over
me again. I couldn't believe it. I think she was inhabited by
some strange demons or something. I swear that girl is the devil
incarnate. After cleaning up a bit, I went and talked to Olin
Nankeen and Matt Farrar (whose name Rachel mispronounced over
the intercom in the morning). Olin was taking a picture of Matt's
Mustang, so I went and got mine so we could have a picture of
the two of us together. After that I took my sister and her friend
Andrea home, but my sister forgot her flute in the Commons, so
I drove back so she could get it, went to talk to Olin some more,
and THEN took my sister and Andrea home. After getting home I
went to a certain site, which I won't reveal now, that Olin and
Matt told me to go to. It definitely deserves to be the next Cow-Patty
Link of the Week, with its stupid fade-on-load scripts and animated
GIF backgrounds. A little while later, Jared Fitzgibbon came over
to get a taste of what real colors are, as opposed to the 16 colors
he's stuck with for the time being. After playing around some
more, I finally did my calculus homework, which I understand completely
this time. I don't want to do my heroic couplets for English.
I'd rather sleep.

11-12-00
Last night our cat slept in my bed. I think I rolled over on
her a couple times, but she didn't seem to mind too much. After
I woke up, I remembered that today was my dad's magic club meeting
in Fort Smith. He, my sister, and I all went to the meeting. There
were actually quite a few people there today. After the meeting
we went to the mall and wandered around for a bit. I got extremely
tired of following my sister around while she tried to get expensive
clothes while I'm stuck buying the cheap crap. I think you'll
find that your choices grow extremely limited when you're not
aloud to buy, for example, a shirt that costs $20. How she gets
her clothes, I have no idea. She also got $80 from my dad when
she went to El Dorado for the game. They were going to stop at
a mall, so she got a ton of money. I finally talked my dad into
getting me a stick of memory today though. $90 for a 256MB chip
of PC100 memory. After the mall, we went to Best Buy to look around
there. I've decided to get a Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1
because it comes with a remote control with various functions,
and they're only about $20 more than the regular Live! Platinums.
After coming home from Fort Smith, we went to my aunt's house
to pick up my mom, but she wasn't hungry. We then proceeded, without
her, to New China for dinner. Then we went back to get her and
returned home, where I've been sitting ever since. Too bad I haven't
gotten any of my homework done. Time for bed!
|
11-11-00
Today's been fairly boring. I woke up really early and just sat
around for the most part. I played some Red Alert 2 and sat on
ICQ for a while. Then I went out back to help my dad clean up
the yard a bit, raking leaves and such. After that I came in and
just played around some more. I need to look for a new Cow-Patty
Link of the Week, but I don't know where to start. Surely there
are billions of sites out there worthy of this pristine award.
My friend Susi, from Hector, called me because she was a bit upset
about something. She's got a lot going on right now, so I'm hoping
the best for her. Other than that, not much really went on. I
didn't do any of my homework. I didn't leave the house. I didn't
do anything spectacular. The day just slipped right through my
fingers. I guess there's always tomorrow.
|
11-10-00
Everyone just took it easy today. We had a free day in English,
the second half of calculus was a free day, and EAST lab was pretty
much a free day, but I got a leg animated, so I was happy about
that. History, yearbook, and physics were pretty much free days
too. I guess that makes all of my classes free days. The band
got let out in the middle of second period because they had to
travel to El Dorado, a 4 hour drive, for a football game tonight.
We actually won the game. I wound up not going, but I'm glad I
didn't. It would have been a long, lonely, boring drive. During
6th period I took Olin Rankin's digital camera and grabbed a disk
I had in my bag so I could take some random pictures. They all
turned out to be pictures of Rachel Trusty, but that was only
because I was with her the entire time. Mr. Lonon decided to take
his entire class out for a walk. We walked all the way around
the back side of the football field, and then around back to the
building. I got some good, not so good, and just plain bad shots,
but it didn't matter because it was a digital camera, it was my
disk, and I could delete what I didn't like. I may as well add
a section of pictures dedicated to Rachel Trusty, but I don't
think I will just yet. I have added a section for Random Pictures
of Friends, where pictures like these can go. I may add another
section for internet friends, but I don't think I'll do that yet
either. After school I saw Rachel, Beth Scott, and her boyfriend
(I keep forgetting his name, but it doesn't matter) standing around
Rachel's locker. I was careful to keep my distance, as I know
Beth's boyfriend doesn't like me. While they were wandering away,
I finally scooted over to Rachel and talked with her for a bit
before walking her out to her car. After that I gave Olin a ride
home and then came home myself, and spent a few hours there by
myself until my dad got home from work around 7:00. Other than
that, I've been sitting around getting bored all day. I would
like to make a couple notes though, if I may (and of course I
may. It's MY web site!):
1. Red Alert 2 is an awesome game.
2. The new actress that plays Tanya in the game is FREAKIN' HOT!

I have been completely void of all life today. It snowed before
school. Then once in class, I listened to some people reading
Macbeth in English, tried to stay awake in calculus, played with
inverse kinesthetics in LightWave, slept in history, sat around
in yearbook, worked on old physics homework in study hall, and
then took a physics test. After school, I went out and looked
for people that weren't there. Then I saw Beth Scott with some
guy I'm assuming is her boyfriend. I really don't think he likes
me. It was a combination of how he always looks at me, and how
he told Beth to try and run over me with her car. On my way back,
I saw Holly Hanlon waiting for her mom to pick her up, so I stayed
with her until she left. Then my sister finally came out so I
could leave. I came home and did nothing, more nothing, and then
a little bit of nothing. I may go to El Dorado for the game tomorrow,
but I really doubt it. I'm just really tired of this school year
right now.

Today wasn't all bad. We read the first couple acts of Macbeth
in English, which wasn't too bad, but then we checked our tests
in calculus. I missed 3 out of 10, but I'm not sure how many points
for effort I'll get on the problems I missed. After that, I made
a bit of progress in LightWave. I've gotten the bones to cooperate
more, so learning animation is coming along nicely. Then I took
a test in history. I'm not sure about how I did on it. I hate
true/false questions, and that's what all but 5 of them were.
After that, the day went by pretty smoothly. I didn't do much
in yearbook or study hall. Olin Rankin got some pantyhose and
started running around with them halfway up his legs. Afterwards,
the feet ends smelled horrible. I guess that's what happens when
you wear sandals. Then in physics we sat around and did nothing
as usual. After school, I sat and talked with Rachel Trusty for
a while, and then walked her to her car. When she pulled away,
she ran over my right foot. I've been close before, but this is
the first time the her tire's actually rolled over my foot. Then
I gave my sister's friend Andrea a ride home and came on home
with my sister. Tired again, I kept dozing off in front of the
computer. I got an old hard drive to work on this new computer,
so I'm happy about that, but I took it off again because I didn't
feel like fully installing it. I'm just happy to know it still
works at all. I also read a text file on how to get rid of the
ugly NameDemo frame at the bottom of this page. I don't really
want to try it out, because I'd hate it if I were to lose this
account and domain name. Maybe I'll try it with another domain
sometime.

Happy election day everyone! It also happens to be Kelli Henderson's
birthday (Happy birthday, Kelli!). Other than that it's been a
pretty average day. I got a little overexcited with a talent of
mine, and a few too many people know about it now, so I need to
be extra careful. Obviously I'm not going to talk about my talent
on this page, as it's open for anyone to read. We watched a movie
in English, and got an extra week to work on our heroic couplets.
Then we got our calculus take-home tests. I got really tired of
working on it, so instead I wrote a note to Rachel Trusty, since
I don't get to talk to her much any more (not that I ever did,
but still...), and I never write notes to anyone. I figure I'm
probably missing out on something really great (writing notes
that is). I slipped it in to her purse after second period, and
she didn't even find it until 6th period when I told her about
it. I came and visited Mr. Lonon's class, and he didn't seem to
mind for once. It was pretty fun. Before that though, I spent
a period in the darkroom trying to cheer up Jessica Brown. She
was upset about, I'm assuming, the situation she was in yesterday,
which I won't explain here. Then 7th period we took a simple physics
quiz. After school I gave Tori (Correct spelling? Like I know...
and last name... don't know it either...) a ride home, despite
my sister's urgent pleads not to. I thought it was rather rude
of her, so I left her there, took him home, and then came back
to pick her up. She whined about it, so I just ignored her. When
I got home, I played around for a bit before falling asleep several
times because of my exhaustion. I can forget about getting any
sleep tonight as well. I'll be finishing up my calculus take-home
test. This just isn't much fun. I did add a new section to the
links page though. I've posted a couple different banners so people
can link to my page with a pretty image now. I think that's all
that happened today. Even if it isn't, I don't have any more time
to write a log. It's time to get back to calculus.

11-6-00
Not much happened today. It wasn't as bad going back to school
as I thought it might turn out to be. We did some busy work in
English, went over some old stuff in calculus, and listened to
Mr. Lemley talk for a little while in history. During lunch when
we ate outside, I looked down the other side of the wall I was
sitting on, and there was a HUGE stick bug just sitting there
about a foot away from my leg. It freaked me out at first, but
it was kind of cute. After that, I spent 5th and 6th periods cleaning
up the darkroom. The developer had completely crystallized in
the tray, and the entire sink had begun to crystallize and stain.
It was horrible. I wish the photography students would take better
care of the place. There were negatives all over the place too.
I didn't even look at the other side of the room with the actual
film developing equipment. After that, I took on the role of Thor,
god of thunder, in physics. Someone had left a rubber mallet in
there, so I was running around with it. Ali Lampert kept taking
it away from me though. There must be some rule about not taking
a magic mallet away from Thor, god of thunder. It just seems strange
that he's so powerful, yet is undermined by a puny mortal girl.
It's just not fair! After school I gave Thomas Hollingsworth a
ride to his dad's store, but first we stopped by my house to experiment
with some stuff and so I could show him my new computer. After
some more playing around on the computer, I decided to put my
senior portraits on the About page. The thought hadn't even crossed
my mind until just earlier today for some reason. I think I also
have my next Cow-Patty Link of the Week picked out, but you'll
have to come back next week to see it.

11-5-00
Today's been a pretty cool day, but this evening's been one sharp
pain in my side. I woke up this morning and played around for
a little while, trying to fend off total boredom. A little later,
Sarah Hindsman and Eric Duerr came over so Sarah could pick up
the CD I burned for her last night. She has the same scanner I
have, but she lost her CD of software, so I just copied mine for
her. I talked to Jared Fitzgibbon for a while. He said he woke
up to the rather strange sound of his GeForce blowing up. He's
now running in 640x480 with 16 colors. I offered to loan him the
Voodoo he gave me, but he refused. It's not like I'm using it
much anyway. This Dell has a pretty good onboard video card. After
some more boredom, I talked to a couple people online. My Hewlett
Packard's being a jerk. It refuses to boot up unless it's under
constant supervision. I think it's about time for a good formatting.
Later in the evening, my sister decided she needed to print off
some homework. I didn't have a black ink cartridge because my
old one broke, and yesterday in Little Rock, my dad said to wait
a week so we could have a chance to shop around for a better price.
Not having any black ink, he decided he'd take my sister's document
out to work and print it off there. Being an idiot, my sister
did her homework in Microsoft Works, which my dad doesn't have
at work. I tried to convert her document into a Microsoft Word
compatible document, but that didn't work at all. After some yelling,
my dad finally decided it's too late to go out to work anyway,
and went to Wal-Mart to get a black ink cartridge for me. I swear
my family's not ALWAYS this annoying. It's just most of the time.

11-4-00
I didn't have a party today like I had originally planned. Everyone
was working, and then my dad and sister said they wanted to go
to Little Rock to go shopping. After a little bit of thinking,
I finally decided to go along for the ride. My sister's friend
Lyadonna came along as well. We went up to the Hobby Lobby in
Conway so my dad could look for something. After we left there,
he decided he had forgotten to look for something, so we stopped
at the Hobby Lobby in Little Rock too. Then we finally went over
to the McCain Mall. I wandered through a couple stores, and was
instantly ready to go. My sister, on the other hand, went shopping
for thongs, among other things. I was sickened to say the least.
I bought a pair of cheap sunglasses at Generations, or whatever
that eco-head shop is called. They're the best pair of glasses
I've ever had for $5. After pushing my sister and Lyadonna along,
we finally left the mall and went over to Best Buy. I didn't get
anything from there, despite the rather long list of things that
I desperately want, and a couple I actually need. My sister, on
the other hand, got my dad to buy her an answering machine. I
wish we could keep a tab to see how much money my sister costs
the family. Without her, we'd probably live as royalty. She eats
all of our food, robs us of our electricity, steals our money
to go to petty social gatherings, and generally makes a pest of
herself. After leaving Best Buy, we went out to eat at Golden
Corral. It was pretty good this time. On the way home, we dropped
off Lyadonna at her house way out in the middle of nowhere. I
have to say, it was quite difficult driving on the slick, muddy,
dirt roads. I was slipping all day on the wet roads, and the mud
was even more of a challenge. We made it through alright though,
so we came home and I played around a bit on the computer. Sarah
Hindsman came on, and we talked for a bit. I fixed a couple images
on her site that weren't looping. I've also added a link to her
page on my Links page. I also made my friend Susi LeMaire rather
angry when I told her internet boyfriend "Taker" that
I had a couple pictures of her. She had been telling him that
she didn't have any, so obviously she was quite upset at me for
telling him about them. I imagine she'll get over it sooner or
later. In the mean time, I'm thinking about how she told me never
to speak to her again. It's not like it really matters, because
the only times she ever talked to me were when nobody else was
on, or when she wanted me to do something for her.
Aside from all other topics, I decided to look up "galloping
cow" on AltaVista just to see what would pop up. It turns
out that Galloping Cow was the name of a prostitute back in the
60s and 70s in San Francisco, California. I'll probably write
more about her sometime on the About page, but I just wanted to
mention her in today's log because I just randomly stumbled upon
some pages talking about her. She's no ordinary hooker. She's
famous!

11-3-00
Today was pretty quiet (boring). Not much (nothing) happened.
I woke up around 7:30 (the first time) and took the rest of the
day pretty slowly (got bored). Jason Huynh didn't stop by like
he said he would to drop off my CD. I'll have to beat him up over
that. Later, I got on the computer and just started playing around
(because I was bored). I've added, as you can see, a page called
Cow-Patty Link of the Week. This page was designed to award the
creators of really crappy web page designs for their lack of skill.
I also added a new paragraph to the About page. Later, Jared Fitzgibbon
came over for a little while to try and get Half-Life to run OpenGL
on my computer. It won't for some reason. After that, I broke
open an old Master combination lock I had laying around. I'm going
to play around with the insides of it (I was so incredibly bored).
I spent the rest of the day talking to various people online.
My friend, April Whaley, from Heber Springs said she's going to
be in town in a couple of weeks, so I'll have to go meet her then.
She's probably going to move here after this semester. She said
I could put her picture on this page, so it's now in the Miscellaneous
section of the Pictures page. I also made this nifty little link
image for the site.
My mom called to say she's going to spend the night at Tunica
tonight. I don't think she was winning at the time. I guess I'm
going to try to have a small party tomorrow sometime, but everybody's
working. It's been useless trying to have a party this week. Nobody's
had any free time. I honestly think it's a waste of time to attempt
such a social gathering this week. I guess I'll make a few calls
tomorrow and find out if I'm still going to have the party at
all.

11-2-00
Nothing happened today. I woke up early for no reason at all.
I spent all day getting bored, staring blankly at the computer
monitor, watching TV, and snacking on miscellaneous crap around
the house. Powerfree
and I played a little bit of Unreal Tournament, which was lagging
out the wazoo. I would fire my weapon, and it'd be a whole second
later that the shot was actually made. Around 6:00, I had to take
my sister to some church party. On the way back, I decided to
stop into Hastings to see if any of the guys were working. Nobody
was there, so I went back to McDonald's where I saw Christi Bauer's
car on the way to church. It turns out she just leaves it there
because it was totaled. Eric Duerr was working though, and Sarah
Hindsman was there on her break from Hastings. I sat with her
for a while, and then sat with Eric after she went back to work
and he got off of work. We talked for a while, and then I came
home again, at which point I continued being bored. Will this
day ever end? Why, yes, I think I'll end it right now. Goodnight.

11-1-00
I moved October's logs to the history page. That page is pretty
ugly right now, but I'll work on a way to make it prettier sometime
soon. As far as today goes, I woke up to Metallica's Unforgiven.
That was fun. Then I bombed my English test like I figured I would.
Then we went over some of the same old stuff in calculus, I worked
on more bone structures in LightWave in the EAST lab, and then
we relaxed in history. Nikki Barr left to go to Little Rock right
before lunch, and Kelli Henderson checked out so she could go
out to eat with her mom, so it wasn't the full crowd of us. After
lunch, I sat around and did nothing for the three remaining periods
before I could go home. I went to visit Mr. Lonon's class 6th
period, and stole Rebecca Brown's seat in 7th period physics.
She said she didn't dress up or give out candy, but she'd bring
a picture to show me her costume. After school, I took my sister
to her private lessons at the junior high. The rest of the evening
was spent watching TV, eating chips and salsa, sleeping, and getting
slaughtered by Powerfree
in Unreal Tournament. My sister went to a party, so I had to go
pick her up at 11:00. Now I'm just continuing my writing of the
daily log, and then I'll probably talk to some people or go to
bed. I'm tired. It's raining. It's a lazy, peaceful night outside.
