Friday is finally here! I got up a little late, so I had to run
to school without breakfast. I was a bit sleepy, but I survived.
After my first two early morning classes, I didn't have to go
to English because we decided we didn't have anything more to
do until our papers were due. I just went to Ben Nordin's room
to hang out for a couple hours before I went to lunch. Matt Farrar
came by after a short while to hang out with Jared Magee, so the
four of us just hung out there for a little while. When Jared
and Matt went to classes, Ben and I watched Buffy the Vampire
Slayer, and then I went to lunch. After that, my calculus
teacher was around 15 minutes late, so most of the class left.
A few of us stayed behind, and when he finally showed up, we all
sat around and talked for a while. We actually wound up staying
for the entire length of the scheduled class, mostly just sitting
around and talking with our teacher. After we left, I went home
to get ready for work. I had to go door-hanging with another guy
for a couple hours. After that, I went on delivering as usual.
It was also Jared Fitzgibbon's first night to work there, and
although my boss said he wasn't going to let me train him since
we were friends, midway through the night, he "introduced"
us and told me to show him the ropes. We took several deliveries
and I showed him what to do around the store. I had a lot of fun,
especially since I still don't have my car stereo hooked up, and
I usually have to just sing to myself, but this time I had someone
to talk to. I got out around 9:00 or so, but Jared was scheduled
to close on his first night, for whatever reason. I headed home
for a little while, and then went over to Angie Jennings's house
for a while. She wasn't feeling well, so I brought her home so
she could relax for a little while. Eventually it was time to
take her back home though, so I sat by her there for a while longer.
Then I had to take off so we wouldn't get in trouble for me staying
there past her midnight curfew. I headed on home, took our dog
out for a potty, and wound up falling asleep on the couch at some
point.

Things finally started to brighten up a bit today. I got to sleep
in for a while, and then went to a nice breakfast at school before
my first class. When that was over, I went by Papa John's and
hung out there for around half an hour until it was time to go
pick Angie Jennings up from the high school. First we went by
the bank so she could start an account with all the oodles and
oodles of cash she's been making lately. Then we went to Staples
to play around. After that, we were a bit hungry, so we went to
McDonald's, where they forgot to pack her sandwich. We went back
to get it, and then went to PDQ so she could meet a group from
her English class to film a project they were doing on Macbeth.
It was pretty interesting watching them fuddle around with things.
After a while, I went back to the high school to trade the Mustang
back for my bike. I didn't want to leave my sister stranded at
school, but I still had to go to my physical science lab. I stopped
back by the gas station to see the very end of the film the girls
were shooting, sat with Angie for a little while, and then headed
to my lab. It started to rain a bit, and I got pretty chilled,
but it could have been worse. We had a pretty short lab, but then
we had some other things we had to do as well. It was our last
lab this semester before our final next week. After my lab was
over, I came out and saw my dad had come to offer me a dry ride
home. I declined, and rode my bike back home to get ready for
work. One of the closers never showed up, so the great Papa slapped
me with that job, which wouldn't have been so bad if we weren't
doing extra special work for the government inspection we're supposed
to have within the next couple of days. My foot has also been
hurting a bit today, so I just can't wait for a couple days off
during which I can lie back and relax. After we finished closing,
I came home and sat at the computer for a little while before
showering and getting ready for bed. It looks like there won't
be much time for sleep tonight, but I guess that's why I have
Bawls.

11-28-01
Today wasn't a good day for waking up either. I crawled out of
bed and forced myself to shower and get ready for school. I had
a bowl of cereal at home rather than going to the cafeteria to
eat as usual. The ride to school was interesting. Icy rain fell
from the sky and pelted me, biting deeply into my skin with the
cold. My motorcycle died on me twice on my way to school, perhaps
because of the cold, or perhaps of some damage dealt to it during
my little wreck. Classes proceeded as usual as I did my best to
remain conscious. When I got out for lunch, I moved my bike over
to my usual parking spot and headed to lunch early. After that
and my final class, I hopped back onto my soaking bike and rode
towards home, stopping by work at first to check my schedule.
I was an hour late getting to work because my sister took a while
to get home. It was just another fun-filled day at work, during
which we didn't get very busy, and tips weren't great. I made
it home with an extra fifteen bucks to my name. I sat around for
a while, then talked to Thomas Hollingsworth on the phone for
a little while. Then I continued to sit, watched a movie, and
sat some more. I'm still not feeling great, but I'll get over
things. I showered and got all ready for bed, and now sleep seems
all that much more appealing to me.

11-27-01
I really didn't want to wake up this morning. I finally got up,
showered, and headed to class. I had a quick breakfast, and went
to class. After that, I went with Ben Nordin back to his room.
I wound up dozing off there for a while, and when I got up to
go, Jared Magee didn't look like he was too excited about lunch,
so I just went by myself. After that, we got out of calculus 45
minutes early, so about four of us went outside and just talked
for a while. We eventually started to split up, and I went to
the Russellville Municipal Court room for my speeding ticket.
After waiting around there for close to two hours, I went up,
got defensive driving, and then headed to the high school for
the creative writing poetry slam Angie Jennings had been planning.
I spent the rest of the evening there, helping out a bit with
things as I could. It all went really well, and the cleanup went
a lot faster than everyone expected. I had to run home to swap
the bike for the car so I could give Angie a ride home. Erika
Johnson was ride-less as well, so I dropped her off on the way
home. When we got to Angie's house, we stayed there for a little
while. Her mom eventually ran me off, so I came home and sat at
the computer for a while, catching the tail end of the Mr. Wendall
Sweet and the Fat Man show on 91.9 FM, KXRJ. When that was over,
I just went to bed and fell asleep.

11-26-01
I went back to school today for the first time since our Thanksgiving
break. It wasn't that bad, but I had to skip breakfast, so I was
hungry all morning. I went back to Ben Nordin's room for just
a little while before we went to lunch. Then, after my last class,
I headed on home. I didn't have to go to work, so I got to relax
for a while. I sat back and watched a movie for a while. Angie
Jennings called me to see what was going on, and then I went to
pick her up later. We sat over there for a little while, and then
came back to my house. We lied around for a while, taking note
that we were hungry. We decided to be nice to my sister, and went
out to invite her out to dinner. We all decided to go to La Huerta.
As we were leaving, we saw the UPS truck coming down my street,
so we stopped so I could get my package. I finally got my new
car stereo in. Then we went on to La Huerta to eat. We had a pretty
good time there, and then we came back home. I played with my
new car stereo for a bit, trying to figure out how things worked.
Angie and I lied around for a while longer until it was eventually
time to take her home. I dropped her off and came back home where
I sat around for the rest of the night, eventually lying down
in bed and falling asleep.
|
11-25-01
I got up this morning when work called and I was asked to come
in early for a while. I wound up spending all day there, staying
for someone else's shift, and then staying long past my own. On
my last run, I stopped by Burger King for some dinner, and then
clocked out after my 10 hour day. I came home, finished my meal,
and watched Adult
Swim. That was the extent of my day.
|
11-24-01
I got up early this morning to my mother playing a thrilling
game of Spider Solitaire. Not willing to leave for the sake of
letting me sleep, I went out to the living room to sleep on the
couch. I got up later and eventually went to pick up Angie Jennings.
We hung out for a few hours before she had to get ready for work,
and then I took her back home. Matt Farrar, Travis Simpson, and
I met at New China for lunch, and afterwards I came back home
to give my dad a ride to the Wal-Mart parking lot to get the van,
since my mom went to Tunica this morning. He needed the van so
he could haul his magic stuff to a show he was doing. After I
dropped him off there, I went to Matt's house to meet up with
the guys again. I was going in the house just as Travis was leaving,
but I stayed for a while and watched Matt play Grant Theft Auto
3. When he had to start getting ready for work, I headed towards
home. I stopped by Staples on the way home, but no deals were
to be had, so I continued home, where I noticed there was a new
addition to the household. There was a little black dog hiding
under the kitchen table. I'm still not sure what kind it is, but
apparently it's the kind that likes to poop and pee a lot. I sat
around until it was time to get ready for work. When I went to
work, we were a bit busy. Tips weren't great, but I had a package
of gummy bears, so I was happy. After work, I stuck around to
help my boss fix up his computer that he had brought to the store.
It was just trashed, and needed some things removed from startup
to speed it up tremendously. I went home and sat around the house
for a while, and then rode to the coffee shop for half an hour
or so. I got bored with that and had somehow started to work myself
into a very bad mood, so I came home and curled up in bed to fall
asleep.

11-23-01
I got up early this morning, planning to go shopping at Staples
for the early bird special they had going on. I wound up sleeping
in a bit, but Angie Jennings called to wake me up, so I picked
her up and we went out looking for a place to grab some breakfast.
Most places were still closed at that early in the morning, so
we came back home and lied around until it was time for the sale.
We went about half an hour early, and there was a huge line of
people stretching across the parking lot in front of Staples.
I wanted to pull some crazy stunt, like pull right next to them,
tap my horn, rev up the engine, and peal the tires over a couple
times, just to see if anyone would move. Honestly, I don't think
they would have. Rather than standing out in the cold and making
fools of ourselves, we went back home again until we decided what
we wanted for breakfast. We headed for Stoby's and had a pretty
good breakfast. Afterwards, we stopped by Papa John's so I could
check my schedule. Then we went to the $1 Shop to look for some
stuff she needed for a poetry slam she had planned for her creative
writing class next Tuesday. We didn't find anything she needed,
so I grabbed a bag of gummy bears, and then we made our way back
home. We both started to doze off a bit, but then she had to get
back home to get ready for work. I sat around the house until
it was time for me to go to work. Travis Simpson got bored and
stopped by to hang out for a little while. When my sister finally
got home, I got ready for work and headed out. Nearing the end
of my scheduled day, my sister called twice with inquiries as
to whether or not I was to be released any time soon. The second
time, she wanted to talk to my boss about it. He explained to
her that the schedule says we may have to stay longer, depending
on sales volume. She called him retarded and hung up on him. Luckily,
he just laughed it off, calling her immature. She just wanted
to go to some party, and needed the car to get there. When I finally
got home, she ran out and swiped the car as quickly as she could,
and stormed back in when she found the gas tank was mostly empty.
She demanded that I give her money for gas, but I refused. She
even got our own mother to command me to give her gas money. When
I still refused, my sister ran to my room and tried to steal some
money. I shoved her out, she made a rather rude comment comparing
me to the rectal orifice, and she stormed off again. As she was
leaving, my mother told her that if she "kept it up"
she wouldn't be allowed to go to the party. She screamed back
that she didn't care, everyone was stupid, and she refused to
listen to authority. With that, my mother let her go on to her
party. I feel so sorry for my sister - what, with those harsh,
evil parents of hers, and that rough life she's had to face all
these years. Boy, if I had to live with a family like that - oh,
wait...
After she left, I had to call my boss just to tell him about
my humorous situation. Later in the evening, I finished up a game
of StarCraft with Jared Fitzgibbon, because it was too late for
either Travis or Angie to hang out. After a while, I went to bed.

11-22-01
Happy Thanksgiving, all you turkey gobblin' fools! I didn't get
to sleep in much today because my cousin called in the morning
to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. I sat on the computer and
just lied around for a while. My dad and I went out to work on
my motorcycle. The plugs were fouled, so we replaced them with
the ones we took out in the first place because we fouled them.
Luckily they had aired out enough since we replaced them that
they worked fine. I rode around the block a couple times, and
then went to visit Angie Jennings for a little bit, mainly to
show her that we had gotten the bike running again. After hanging
around there and playing her brother, Michael, a game of pool,
I headed back home and waited forever for my sister to get out
of the bathroom so I could go take my shower. When I got out,
family members had already started arriving for our Thanksgiving
get-together. When everyone finally got together in the afternoon,
we had our nice little feast. Then everyone ran around and just
had a good time. Later in the evening, I went over to pick Angie
up and brought her back to meet the family. When we got back,
people were just starting to leave, so she got to stand around
a while and just say, "goodbye" to everyone. After everyone
went home, we lied around and watched cartoons for a while, and
then I took her back home. When I got back, I played a game of
StarCraft with Jared Fitzgibbon, which didn't go over too well
because we were both out of practice fighting against a computer.
When we finally won the game, I sat around for a short while longer,
and then went to sleep.

11-21-01
Today's been a bit better. I woke up fairly early, still a bit
soar from my tumble yesterday. I'm slowly finding more and more
places on my body that ache now. I sat at the computer for a while,
and wandered around the house aimlessly until it was time for
me to go to work. I called in and told them what happened, so
they wanted me to come in and work inside. It wasn't too bad,
because I didn't have to drive on my ankle, and I got to sit down
for a while. After almost five hours of that, I headed home. I
talked to Angie Jennings for a bit, and then headed over to her
house for the rest of the night. She kicked me out around midnight,
so I came back home and went to sleep.
|
11-20-01
Today's been a really rough day. I woke up when my sister busted
into my room and asked for money to put gas in the car. As if
using my gas wasn't enough already, she wanted more money of mine
to put in the car so she could drive. I finally gave her a 5 to
get her out of my hair. Eventually I got myself up, showered,
and headed towards school. I had a pretty good breakfast, and
then went to my science class for the first time since almost
two weeks ago. After class, I went back to Ben Nordin's room and
wound up sleeping on the couch for about an hour. When it was
time to go to lunch, Jared Magee was still asleep, so we left
him there and went to lunch ourselves. After lunch, I went to
my calculus test, which wasn't much fun at all. I hate tests,
but I also hate a lack of grades. After that was over, I headed
home, where I sat around on the computer all afternoon. Around
5:30, Jared was complaining about his girlfriend being lost for
about 3 hours and his parents being missing for a couple hours
themselves, so he invited me back to the dorm to keep him company.
I headed out on my bike as usual, but then things took a turn
for the worst. Pulling out of my driveway, my rear wheel completely
lost traction and slipped out from under me. I wound up on my
side, and slid down the road a good 15 to 20 feet. When I stopped
sliding, I was completely reversed in the road. I saw a couple
of people jogging down the street, coming my direction, so I wanted
to get up as fast as I could to show them I wasn't dead or anything.
I hopped up, first noticing that my left ankle was in a bit of
pain. The two ladies continued jogging along until they got to
me, when they asked if I was alright, and then went up to the
house to get my parents. When my parents came running out, they
continued jogging down the street, while my parents buzzed around
trying to see what had happened. My dad and I lifted the bike
back up and pushed it up into the driveway, and we all came inside.
He wrapped my ankle up and cleaned a bloody spot on my arm while
I groaned about my sudden turn of bad luck. When we went back
outside to look at the bike, the clutch was bent, and the fiberglass
left side of the bike was all worn from sliding down the road.
Luckily that was the extent of the damage, which really surprised
me. I went back inside for a short while, and then headed towards
Jared's dorm again in the Mustang. When I got there, his girlfriend,
Mindy Carey, was already there, so the three of us just sat around
watching TV until the guest curfew was out, and we had to leave.
I headed back home and waited around until Angie Jennings got
home from work. That's when my computer decided to pull some nasty
stuff on me. I rebooted, and then all of the sudden I couldn't
log onto my own account any more. It simply didn't show up in
the user list. Tired of my day, I waited around until Angie could
come over. I went to pick her up, showed her the bike, and then
we came inside and lied around for a while. My ankle got progressively
soar until the end of the night when I had to take her home. It
was quite fun driving a standard with my ankle. I dropped her
off and headed back home. I lied down to listen to Mr. Wendall
Sweet minus the Fat Man show for a while on 91.9 FM, KXRJ, where
Jared dedicated a song to me for "almost killing myself"
on my way to "rescue him." I had Angie call me a little
while later so I could talk to her for a bit, but we wound up
sitting silently for most of the time. I'm really going to have
to start doing interesting things or something so I'll have more
to talk about. Then she went to sleep, the radio show was over,
and I lied back and went to sleep.

11-19-01
I got up this morning with enough time for a quick shower, and
then I rode on to school. I was only a minute or so late for my
class, so everything was fine. My psychology test the next hour
wasn't too fun, but that was to be expected. After my morning
classes, I went straight to lunch, hungry from skipping breakfast.
I sat through two waves of people before it was time to go to
my last class. Calculus wasn't bad, and afterwards a couple of
us stuck around in the hallway to talk for a couple minutes. Then
I headed home, stopping for gas on the way. I sat around and watched
TV for a while, and just generally relaxed during my day off.
Thomas Hollingsworth called me to talk for a while, which was
good because we hadn't had much time to talk or hang out in a
while. I played around for a while on the computer until Angie
Jennings finally got off of work. After a while, she decided she
wanted to come over, so I went and brought her home for a couple
hours. She typed up a paper for school while I watched movies.
Far too soon, her time ran out, and I had to take her back home.
Afterwards, I came home and resumed my tiredness. I sat at the
computer for a while, and eventually started to fall asleep as
usual. I hate being sleepy like this all the time.
|
11-18-01
I got up this morning and had to go to work, so I showered and
headed that direction. We only had a small rush, so it wasn't
too bad having to work on the day I was scheduled off. I only
worked a few hours. I got pretty hungry, so I made myself a pizza
while I was there. After I got off, I went straight to Angie Jennings's
house to see how she was doing after no sleep in a couple days.
We sat around there for a little while, and then came back to
my house. I changed out of my work uniform, and we rode to Wal-Mart
so she could get some index cards for her homework. We wandered
around the store for a little while, and then came back to the
house. Just after we walked in, Sarah Morrison called. After talking
with her for a short while, I heard some clicking around, and
then she was gone. Then my mom came in and wanted to take me to
my aunt's house to give me a haircut. Angie tagged along sleepily.
It took a while, but I finally got the haircut I had been needing
for quite some time. Angie and I headed back home, and that's
when the real luck started. As I was getting ready to pull off
of my aunt's street, my bike began to kick a bit as it ran out
of gas. I stopped and switched on the reserve tank so we could
make it home, but before the gas started flowing well, I had to
rev up the engine a bit. Not thinking much of it, I took off down
the road and passed a couple of cops. The first one spun around
and came after me, pulled me over, and gave me my first ticket
as I was 20 miles over the speed limit in a 35 mph zone, without
proof of insurance, and without a motorcycle endorsement on my
driver's license. He wasn't mean at all, but he could have easily
gone with a harsh, "don't do that" instead of giving
me a ticket. Bummed from that, Angie and I stopped by her house,
and then came back to my house for a while longer. She eventually
had to get back home for an early curfew, though, so I took her
back and then came home. Sarah called again and talked to me for
a little while, although this time she actually told me when she
had to go, instead of just hanging up on me. Not much later, I
was exhausted to the point that I kept falling asleep in my chair.
I didn't even make it through all of Adult
Swim, so I just fell right into bed and went to sleep.

11-17-01
I got up this morning around 11:00 when Angie Jennings called.
We talked for a couple minutes before I had to run to the shower
and get ready for work. I wound up being late again because both
cars were gone, and I had to ride out to find the Mustang. We
were dead most of the day, but I still made some pretty good tips.
After work, I came home for a while and sat on the computer until
it was time to go pick Angie up from work. My sister had taken
the car, which had my helmet in it, so I had to ride with one
of my dad's. I went by Angie's house to pick up the other helmet,
picked her up, dropped her off at home, and went to get my helmet
from the car. I headed back to her house, where we prepared to
meet at Jared Fitzgibbon's house to plan our trip to see the meteor
shower. We went there first, and then Travis Simpson came along
a little while later. Rachel Trusty was already at Jared's, so
the five of us just hung out for a while. We decided to meet at
my house at 3:00 before heading to 40 Acre Rock for the meteor
shower. Travis, Angie, and I left Jared and Rachel to go to Travis's
house so we could see his newly painted wall. Then we went to
McDonald's to grab a bite to eat, and then came back to my house
to hang out until Jared and Rachel were going to meet us to go
to 40 Acre Rock. I dozed off a couple times, but eventually we
all met up and headed for the rock. We stumbled up the rocks,
and eventually made it to the top, where we wanted to be. The
meteor shower was great. The earth was constantly pelted with
fragments of rock from space, dazzling us all with great bursts
of light streaking across the sky. One meteor in particular, shot
slowly across the sky, leaving a brilliant trail of smoke in its
trail that drifted around in the atmosphere for a good 20 minutes.
Angie climbed around a bit while everyone else, for the most part,
just sat back to watch the show. Jared and Rachel left just before
sunrise, while Travis, Angie, and I stayed behind for a while.
The sun came up, but it was too cold to stay around for too long,
and Travis seemed a bit moody, so he left. He ran off, and Angie
and I came back to my house to sleep for a while. I got her back
home around 8:00, and came back to sleep before having to go to
work later in the morning.
|
11-16-01
I woke up early this morning on my own. My sister made it up
just before I did and was occupying the shower, so I wrote a paper
for English. After getting all ready for my day, I headed to breakfast,
and then to my 8:00 computer science class for the test I had
tried to study for last night. It turned out to be really easy,
so I got out of class after less than half an hour. Then I got
out of my psychology class early, and English was no problem.
I went straight to lunch this time, instead of going back to Ben
Nordin's room as usual. I stayed there for my two hour lunch break,
and then went to a fairly easy session of calculus. After class,
I headed home, stopping by work on the way to check the schedule.
I was asked to come in a bit early, but didn't quite make it in
time because my sister was out with the car again. After work,
I came home and got ready to go to the coffee shop to see Travis
Simpson play guitar. I picked Angie Jennings up on the way, and
we made it just in time to hear him play. Afterwards, we hung
around for a while and talked to various people we met along the
way. The three of us got hungry and decided to go to the Flying
J truck stop to eat. I started to feel a bit un-good, and just
stared off into space for a while. When we went up to pay, something
happened to Angie's and my bill, and they wouldn't ring up in
the computer, so the lady just told us to have a good night, and
we went on about our way after our free meal. We had to get Angie
back for her curfew, and just wound up hanging out at her house
for a while. Travis sat on her computer, while I did more of the
"staring into space" thing. Eventually Travis headed
home, and Angie and I sat there for a little while longer. Then
I headed home and went to sleep.

11-15-01
Today was rather interesting. I got up early and showered before
heading to breakfast, and then class. Much to my surprise, physical
science was canceled again. I headed back to my bike and started
for home. Just a few blocks away from home, Chenoa Meyers, one
of my favorite managers from Papa John's that quit a couple weeks
ago, pulled up beside me, so we pulled over to talk for a while.
I gave her a ride around the block, and then took her back to
show her the ditch I fell down into after my first ride on the
bike. I've gotten a bit more gutsy, or confident - take your pick
- and have been trying to pop some wheelies. I'm getting quite
a bit better, and I'm not nearly as worried about it now as I
used to be. Chenoa headed on along her way shortly after taking
a peek at the ditch by my driveway, and I went on inside to relax
for a while, since my class was canceled. Then I headed back for
the "Thanksgiving dinner" the cafeteria had made, and
met up with Jared Magee. We enjoyed ourselves there for a while,
and then I headed on to Angie Jennings's house for a while. We
hung out there until it was time for me to go to my lab. It was
a rather long lab about radiation, and afterwards I chopped off
the extra limbs I had grown and headed back home to get ready
for work. I was half an hour late because my lab lasted so long,
and we got a bit busy for a while, but things turned out alright.
I did decently in tips, and then headed towards home. I stopped
by Angie's again on the way home to see if she wanted to come
home and watch cartoons with me. Apparently, she doesn't appreciate
Adult Swim
as much as I do, or the rest of the world, for that matter. I
came home, tried to study a bit for a computer science test, and
fell asleep soon after opening the book. All I can figure is that
someone laced my book with some sort of tranquilizer inhalant
or something.

11-14-01
I had to get up early again this morning, but I didn't mind too
much. I showered and had a quick breakfast at home before heading
to class. Things went on as usual for the rest of the day. The
only exception was my Comp 1 class, during which we met in the
library for a "tour" that just showed us how to use
the library's resources. After everything was over with, I rode
across campus and sat in the parking lot with about three others
from calculus and just talked for a while. Then I ran on home
and did a bit of work on the computer before heading to Papa John's
for the big job. I only worked a couple of hours, and we were
really slow the entire time. I did decently in tips, though, for
the short amount of time I was there. I got off of work and came
back home for a while. Bethany Collins (formerly Raines) invited
me to go bowling with her because she was rather bored, so after
Angie Jennings came around, we both went to meet her at the bowling
alley. Angie was too tired to bowl, so she just sat there trying
to stay awake, rather than trying to heft a bowling ball around
the place. After a couple games, Bethany's husband, Rodney came
along and bowled with us. We played a couple more games, and then
headed out. I took Angie home, and then decided to hang out with
her for a little while longer. I guess we're "dating"
now, although we've never technically been out on a date before.
It's just like being best friends like we were before, except
now we've kissed. Hah, you all should have seen my dad's reaction.
Don't worry, I didn't think it'd ever happen either. :-P
We sat around rather motionless for a while, talked a bit, and
then I headed home. My mom was finally home from her rather long
stay in Tunica. I'm just going to assume she didn't win the car
this time. I shut myself away and just went to sleep.

I managed to get up early today all on my own, but then I went
back to sleep. I got up later to get ready for class, and headed
out for a quick breakfast before my classes started. When I got
to class, there was a sign on the door saying that it was canceled,
so I ran back to my bike with as much enthusiasm as I could muster
at such an early hour in the morning, and rode back home. I lied
around the house until it was time to go to lunch. I headed out
to meet Jared Magee there, but he wound up sleeping through it
anyway. After lunch, I went to my last class, and then came home.
I sat around for a while longer, and then went to pick Angie Jennings
up. We came back to my house to hang out for a while. We just
sat around and listened to Mr. Wendall Sweet and the Fat Man on
91.9 FM, KXRJ. Things got a bit interesting after that, but that
was only slightly unexpected. I eventually took her home, and
then came home and went straight to bed.

11-12-01
Today was a pretty decent day. I had time to grab a quick breakfast
before heading to class. I was a bit tired, though. After classes,
I went to Ben Nordin's room for a little while before lunch, as
usual. I went ahead to lunch a bit earlier than usual to beat
the rush, went to my last class, and then headed home. Angie Jennings
had stayed home from school and work, so I went to her house to
hang out for a while. Later in the evening, I ran to Stoby's to
grab some food. The lady at the drive-through window looked at
me really funny when I pulled up on my bike. I managed to get
the food back to Angie's house safely, and then we sat around
and watched She's All That on TV. After the movie, I headed
on back home, rather sleepily. It didn't take long for me to fall
asleep in bed. I managed to wake up around 1:00 in the morning,
showered, and went to bed again.

11-11-01
I managed to get up on time this morning, but then I dozed off
again, and woke up when my boss called to see if I was on my way.
I got dressed and ran off to work, where I spent all day. Tips
were horrible at first, but at the end of the night they got better.
I saw Sarah Morrison and her mom driving off somewhere while I
was making a run to Subway for something to eat. Then later, I
was on a run when Jared Fitzgibbon pulled up next to me. We talked
for the brief moment we had, and then I was off to complete my
delivery task. He came by the store later to fill out an application,
so hopefully he and Jon Robison will be working there within the
next couple of weeks. After work, I came home and sat on the computer
for a while. Sarah called to talk for a short while. Apparently,
her mom thought I was "cute." Maybe she just likes a
cow in uniform. It's not often this little cow is described in
such a way, though, so I shall gloat it for days to come. Jared
stopped by later, which was a rather pleasant surprise. About
the only time I ever talk to him any more is in passing, so he
just came by to hang out for a little while. After he went home,
I sat on the computer for a bit longer, and then showered and
got ready for bed. I can't believe the weekend's over. I want
more!

I got up late this morning when someone called right about the
time I was supposed to be at work. I showered as quickly as I
could, and ran to work. I made a decent amount of money, came
home, and got ready to go out. I ran by Price Chopper to see Angie
Jennings, and then went to Travis Simpson's house to see what
he was up to. We hung out there for a little while, and then we
were going to meet at the coffee shop after I went to pick up
Angie. She couldn't leave, so I went to the coffee shop and met
up with Travis. We hunt out with a few other people there until
he had to go home. After the shop closed, I sat outside for a
while and talked to Sam Bishop. My sister rolled up in the car
with an all-knowing, invincible, rebel, teenage attitude which
I absolutely despised. After sitting out in the cold with them
for a while, I finally rode home and watched Predator before
crashing in bed again.

11-9-01
It's finally the end of the week! It seems like only a week ago,
we were starting a new week, and now it's finally over. I got
up and showered before heading to school. I was a bit late, so
I was in a rush to get there for breakfast before class. While
I was at a stop light, I saw Sarah Morrison and her mom on the
way to school. When the light turned green, I revved up and accidentally
popped a little wheelie as I took off. About halfway through eating
my breakfast, one of the guys in my 8:00 class came in and reminded
me that class was canceled. Then later in the day, when I got
out for lunch, I went back to Ben Nordin's room for a while. Then
I headed to lunch early, went to my last class, and went home
to get ready for work. My sister decided not to come home, so
I had to hunt for the car and swipe it. After work, I came home
to change and went to Angie Jennings's house to pick her up. We
went to the coffee shop for a little while. Then we went out to
try to find Travis Simpson. Unsuccessful, we went back to the
coffee shop, where I gave rides to Nikki Holbrook and Brian White.
They both held on for dear life, but they both seemed to enjoy
it. After that, Angie and I went back to her house for a while,
and then I went home, watched a movie, and crashed in bed.

11-8-01
I needed a short day today; just a day to relax a bit. I happened
to wake up on time on my own, so I showered and headed to breakfast,
and then class. I got out half an hour early, so I went out and
rode around for a while. After running around town, I went back
to Jared Magee's room to meet him for lunch. While I was there,
we got a call asking us to go to the radio station to meet Mindy
Carrie and Matt Farrar on her radio show. After a short bit, the
three of us left her and headed to lunch, where we had a grand,
old time. We actually got to just sit down and relax for a while.
After we finished, we went back to Jared's room to watch cartoons
for a while. Then Matt left, and I followed a short while later
to go to my lab. After my lab, I went home to get ready for work.
While I was out on a run, I wound up behind a guy on a nice sport
bike. For no reason, he popped a wheelie in front of me and took
off. I managed to keep up with him, and he looked back at me,
I guess to see my reaction. He didn't take into account that it
was dark outside, so obviously he didn't see the smile on my face.
I could never pop a wheelie on my bike, mainly because I have
the dexterity of a walrus on ice skates. We got a bit busy with
a fund raiser, but in the end I somehow got off an hour early,
which made me happy. After work, I passed Janine Randles, heading
to the coffee shop, so I stopped by to say, "hi." That's
when the funniest thing happened. She asked me to the Snowflake
dance at school. Wow, maybe this time I can ditch her. Despite
all the harshness I may express, I really couldn't care less.
After I got home and changed, I went to Angie Jennings's house
to keep her company for a while and told her the news. She "ditched"
me for Jon Robison, so I may go with Janine after all. By "ditched,"
I mean, she didn't think I was enthusiastic enough about it, so
she didn't want to force me to go. After hanging out there for
a while, playing games or watching cartoons, I headed back home
and wound up falling asleep again.

11-7-01
Today's been another long and tiring day. I went to breakfast
and class as usual. I went to Ben Nordin's room for a little while
before going to lunch, and then out to my last class. After school,
I went home and got ready for work. When I came home from work,
my dad told me Hazel was gone. She had died in front of him while
he was trying to clean her wounds, which I'm sure was comparable
to holding onto a friend as he slips away - such morbid times.
Telling Angie the news was the fun part. Mallory McKinney was
over at Angie Jennings's house, so we all went to the park to
hang out for a while. Angie already wasn't feeling well, and of
course I keep dwelling on how to break the news. We kept trying
to run around and find something else to do, but we finally went
back to Angie's house so Mallory could head home before curfew.
I went inside for a bit to tell Angie what had happened, and then
went home where I slept long and hard.

11-6-01
I had a nice, short day of school today, but it could have been
a bit better. I got up early and went to the high school to see
Mr. Murdock. He ran into some problems with his web page, so I
helped him out a bit. On my way out, I returned Sarah Morrison's
glasses that she had left in my room last night to her. Then I
headed on to breakfast before my class. After class, I wasn't
feeling so well, so I went home to rest a bit before I went back
for lunch. After lunch, I went to my last class, and then returned
home. Then I went to Jason Huynh's house to pick up the RJ-45
crimpers he had borrowed from Thomas Hollingsworth. I stayed there
for a while and watched a part of Final Fantasy: The Spirits
Within. Then I had to head home to get ready for work. Before
I actually went in, I stopped by Thomas's house to return his
crimpers, and pick up my case of Bawls. I took some to work to
share with the two people I was closing shop with. Tips were fairly
low, but it was a slow weeknight, unlike the busy weekends I'm
used to working. After work, I came home and found my dad had
moved Angie Jennings's bunny, Hazel, inside. Something happened
a couple nights ago, and we can't find our bunny, and Hazel seems
to be hurt pretty badly. I don't know what could have gotten to
them, but now we're left nursing her back to health, and completely
missing the other. I pet her a bit as she struggled to breathe,
and then cleaned up and got ready for bed. I finally have caffeine
to wake me up tomorrow. I'll need it.

11-5-01
Today was a pretty decent day. I got up early without any trouble,
got ready, and headed to school. I stopped by to pick up my friend,
Patrick, and we went to breakfast before our first class. When
I got out for my lunch break, I went back to Ben Nordin's room
with him again as usual, and we watched an old episode of Star
Trek: The Next Generation. After that, I went to lunch, and then
to my last class. After class, I headed home for a while. When
the high school let out, I went to pick up Sarah Morrison and
brought her back to my house. The first thing she did was flop
down on my bed and work on homework. We just sat around and talked
for a while after she finished, waiting for Angie Jennings and
Mallory McKinney to show up. They rode bicycles from Angie's house,
so it took them a little while to get here. We wrestled around
a little while, and in general just goofed off. We played with
a black light some, and noticed our teeth glowing brilliantly
like the grin of a Cheshire Cat. We eventually got hungry, so
we all went to Perkin's to eat. After goofing off there for a
while, we took Sarah back home, and then I took Angie and Mallory
back to Angie's house, and went home myself. I dozed off a bit,
but eventually got ready for bed much earlier than usual. I'm
going to need some sleep tonight before I have to close at work
tomorrow night.

11-4-01
I slept all morning, and when I woke up, I realized I had burned
my food in the oven pretty badly. Luckily, nothing burned down.
My boss called and asked me to come into work early, so I hunted
for something that hadn't been burned into charcoal, showered,
and headed in. I did pretty well in tips after spending all afternoon
and most of the evening there. When I got off of work, Angie Jennings
wanted to go out for a while, so we went by Travis Simpson's to
hang out for a little while. We all gathered around the computer
for a little while, and then we watched cartoons. I took Angie
home around 10:30, and then came back home. Patrick, a friend
from some of my classes, called while I was out to ask for a ride
to school tomorrow, so I called and talked to him for a little
while. Then I ate, watched TV, folded laundry, showered, and got
ready for bed. I don't feel like sleeping, but I'm sure I will
by the time my 8:00 class rolls around tomorrow. Did I mention
I wanted a vacation?

11-3-01
I got up fairly early this morning to go rock climbing with Angie
Jennings and Travis Simpson. I showered and got ready to go out,
went to pick Angie up, and then we went to Travis's place to meet
with him. We went to Dardanelle Rock and made our way up to the
top. There, we sat back for a while and just enjoyed the view
and the warm air. We eventually had to go back down, though, because
Travis and Angie had to go to work. The three of us went back
to Travis's house first, and then went to Taco Villa to grab some
food. Travis ate and ran off to get ready for work, and then after
I finished, I took Angie back home so she could do the same. I
went home for a while and wound up napping quite nicely. I got
up a little later to take Angie to work, and then came back home.
I got called into work for a little while, but got out in time
to go home for a little while before going back to pick Angie
up from work again. I had to take her straight home, and then
I went to Travis's to hang out for a while. When I got back home,
Travis and I played some good, old StarCraft. After the game,
I went to warm up some food in the oven, and wound up falling
asleep.

11-2-01
I was tired all day today, but I drudged on through. After my
first round of classes, I went back to Ben Nordin's room with
him as usual. I studied a bit more for the calculus test I had
after lunch, and then went to get some food. After I finished
eating, I headed to calculus, my last class for the day. When
I finished the test, I gave my friend, Patrick, a ride back to
his place on my way out. I went home and got ready for a night
at work. Both people that were scheduled to close tonight had
problems. One got a flat tire, and the other was feeling violently
ill. Being extremely sleepy myself, I refused to close. After
I finally got off of work, I went home to change, and then went
with Angie Jennings to hang out at Travis Simpson's house. We
stayed there for about an hour, and then went back to Angie's
house to hang out for a while. We got a bit hungry, so the three
of us headed to Perkin's to get some food. After eating, Travis
took Angie home, and then I headed out. I stopped by my house
to drop off the box of food I had saved, and then went to Travis's
to hang out for a while. I started to doze off a bit, and decided
to head home, where it only took a short while for me to fall
right into bed and into a deep, coma-like state of sleep.

11-1-01
Today was pretty dull, as far as days go. I got up late, so I
sprang out of bed and flew to school, making it right on time.
After class, came back home, showered, and waited until it was
time for lunch. I met Jared Magee at the cafeteria to eat, and
when he had to go to work, I came back home to wait for my lab
later in the day. Sarah Morrison called moments after I had mentioned
trying to call her seconds before she popped up online, and I
sat back to talk with her for a while. Eventually it came time
for my lab, so I headed back for that. After the lab, I came home
and got ready for work. Sarah called again to ask for some help
finding a building at Tech, so after talking to her mom and drawing
up a little map for them, I headed to work. Travis Simpson desperately
didn't want to close again this week, so I closed for him. He
went and bought dinner for me, since I would be there the rest
of the night. I did really poorly in tips, considering how long
I was there. We finally left around 2:00, so I came home, showered,
and now I suppose some sleep would do me some good before my long
day of school tomorrow.
