Today was about as uneventful as they come. Susi LeMaire called
me a couple times, and we talked for quite a while. Other than
that I managed to sleep most of the day. I played some Counter-Strike
with Thomas Hollingsworth, and am actually starting to get used
to the game now.
I feel I must again bring up a very important topic; a topic
that affects us all in some way or another. There seems to be
no way around it. Late night TV just plain sucks. Has anyone else
seen this new "AbTronic" system? It seems America has
reached ultimate laziness. I thought I was bad by just remaining
inanimate for most of the day, and only moving when it was absolutely
necessary. Now, however, there's a "new" electronic
device that will let one build muscle by doing nothing at all.
That's right, folks. You can now work out without lifting a finger.
Don't think it's that easy though. Apparently you still have to
pick up the phone and DIAL their toll-free, 11 digit number in
order to purchase one of these amazing medical marvels - that
is, unless you have Sprint's new wireless service with voice activated
dialing, in which case you can still remain a complete lethargic
and build muscle all at the same time! I feel I could rant on
for pages about this new system, but I suddenly have an urge to
go ride my bike, run a mile, and do some sit-ups to make up for
the ignorance, laziness, and general idiocy in today's society.

All of today can be described with one demotivating word from
our wonderful language: useless. I got up too late to go out and
try to find another job, so I wound up just lying around the house
all day. Josh Higgins dropped by to pick up a CD. Later in the
evening, my mom got to talking on the phone with her brother,
who I began to talk to for a short while. Susi LeMaire beeped
in quite upset about something, and I felt bad having to let her
go because my uncle on the other line was long distance. She said
she couldn't call back, but she'd just talk to me tomorrow. Later
on I tried to play some Counter-Strike with Thomas Hollingsworth,
and actually did fairly well aside from the fact that he wasn't
armed. Who knew a guy with a knife could take a guy with a shotgun?

Today started out rather slow. I kept wanting to keep on sleeping,
but my sister insisted on doing very annoying things to keep me
from any amount of peaceful slumber. She did everything from banging
on my door to messaging me thousands upon thousands of times on
MSN Messenger, causing my computer's otherwise wonderful speakers
to play a quite annoying sound over and over and over again. I
wanted to kill her then, but things only heated up worse as the
day progressed. I shut myself away in my room for quite a while.
I worked on the computer for a while, and had just quit and gone
to lay down for a while when Susi LeMaire called me right out
of the blue. I was insanely delighted to hear from her, because
all day I had been in a really bad mood, and then she called and
talked to me for quite a while making things much better. I had
planned to go to a little party Olin Rankin was having, but I
held off on going for a while to talk to her. She eventually had
to go, so I continued to toy with the idea of going to the party.
I wanted to leave the house, anyway. My mom again took my driving
privileges, so I took off on my bike. I hadn't ridden in quite
a while, but it felt good to be out of the house. Before going
to the party, I stopped by Angie Jennings's house for a while.
We sat around and had a grand old time. We even fooled Travis
Simpson as we talked to him on MSN Messenger. He never guessed
it was me talking to him. We buried our faces trying to muffle
the laughter at his denseness so we wouldn't wake up Angie's mom.
We eventually came clean, but I think Travis went to bed quite
exhausted from all the confusion. Soon after, Angie got quite
tired herself, so I headed the rest of the way to Olin's party.
People were rather surprised to see me fly up into his yard on
my bike. Olin told me my dad had called, so I went ahead and called
back home. With no trouble or exciting news from home, I stuck
around for a bit longer. Janine Randles walked outside and just
stood there and looked at me. She finally asked if I had ridden
my bike all the way there from my house. I should have told her
I didn't, but instead rode a flying horse that magically turned
into a bicycle when I pulled its tail. At least it didn't turn
into a pumpkin at midnight. I stood around for a little while,
and then made my way back home, again in the dark, but in a much
more uphill fashion than before. When I got home I felt like my
legs were going to give up on me, but at the same time I had the
feeling of accomplishment in that I didn't die. I should have
stayed longer or ridden around more, because there wasn't anything
to do when I got home, and everyone was asleep anyway. I am, however,
happy to announce that I've finally found my watch. Yes, the watch
I keep attached to my wrist via a band of duct tape. Mother, I
hope you're listening. Next time, why don't you get me a new $12
Wal-Mart watch instead of going off and buying your daughter a
brand new $40 watch while she already has one that stays on her
wrist without the help of added strategies, such as the highly
technical method I've developed, known to most as "taping-the-damn-thing-to-my-wrist."
I swear I'd get this thing trademarked and start selling them
if it weren't such a stupid idea.
I think I'll go looking for another job tomorrow. I need more
money for the motorcycle I've been wanting. I could become a crack
dealer or something and make some quick drug money, but what's
the fun in that? I'd much rather stand in a hot kitchen flipping
soy burgers for minimum wage. Maybe I can sell my soul, or a kidney,
or something on eBay.

6-27-01
Angie Jennings and I had planned to go out and do something today,
but she bailed on me in the morning because she wasn't feeling
well. I got messaged by some lamer on MSN that tried to get my
password by saying he was a computer security programmer, and
wanted to see if I could crack their systems. He sent an e-mail
to my Hotmail account, which I figured was harmless. To my great
surprise, and general delight at such stupidity, the e-mail was
simply a copy of Hotmail's "You have been signed out"
page. He wanted me to log back in with my password. After I picked
myself up off of the floor from the riotous laughter, I insulted
his intelligence and he left. I couldn't take all the excitement,
so I went back to bed. I got up in the early afternoon so Thomas
Hollingsworth and I could go out and run some errands, but we
didn't get out until too late and all we could do is stop by the
bank. Afterwards I had plans to go to Travis Simpson's, so I stopped
by there for a bit to let him know I was done running around with
Thomas. We ran out to Wal-Mart for a while, and then stopped by
Hastings before heading back to his place. He picked up a DVD
of Gundam Wing episodes, so we had pizza and watched that. It
wasn't delivery. It was Dijourno. After we finished all the episodes
on the DVD, I headed on home. On the way home, I happened to pull
up behind what looked to be Rachel Trusty's vehicle. After verifying
this fact, I continued on following her home, flashing my high
beams and an occasional turn signal. When we got to her house,
she assured me I had successfully freaked her out. We stood and
talked for a few seconds, and then I let her go on about her business.
I just wanted to stop by and say, "Hi," because I hadn't
seen her in quite a while. When I got home, I discovered that
my dad had already gone to the Wal-Mart parking lot to wait for
my mom's arrival, so I ran out there to pick him up so he wouldn't
have to sit there and wait, but the bus was just pulling away
as I got there, so I was too late. My sister was waiting for a
ride at the movies, so I went to get her and then came on home.
I sat around for a little while before Sarah Hindsman invited
me to a little hot tub party at her house. I got ready, finished
talking to a few people online, and headed on up. Olin Rankin,
Janine Randles, and "Robert from Picwood" were already
there. I just stood on the side for a while and let them try to
convince me it would be worth my time to get in as well. Janine
finally got up and poured a bottle of hot tub water on my head,
so I figured I may as well get out of the soggy clothes and jump
in. After a while I got a bit annoyed at things, so I just kept
to myself for the most part. Sarah's dad kicked the guys out around
1:00, so we got out and dried ourselves off while we stood around
and talked for a little while. Half an hour later we finally left
her house. Olin had asked me to go back to his place and help
him fix his computer, because he couldn't even get Windows to
boot. I stopped by my house, changed clothes, and then headed
over. We spent several hours trying to fix it, and finally got
the thing basically running. He still needs to format, but at
least the thing turns on now. I got home just after my dad had
left for work, so I just crashed into bed.
|
6-26-01
I wasn't very sleepy last night, but I slept late anyway. I got
up around 4:00 in the afternoon when Thomas Hollingsworth called.
Then I showered and sat around for a while. Josh Higgins called
and asked me to come over and help him with some stuff on his
computer, so I got dressed for that. My dad and sister went to
Conway for a chance to win two tickets to *N Sync's next 3 concerts.
Susi LeMaire called as I was brushing up and getting ready to
leave, so I talked to her for a while. Afterward I headed on up
to Josh's house for a while. After we finished up there, I came
on home and sat around the rest of the night. My sister had her
friends, Lyadonna and Andrea, over to swim. Lyadonna felt sorry
for me from when I told her all my friends had disappeared over
the weekend, and came into my room a couple times to invite me
out to swim. I got busy helping Chris Lomax figure out that he
truly isn't the brightest crayon in the tool shed. When my sister
and her friends finished swimming, they all went to Andrea's house
to spend the night.

6-25-01
I hardly did anything today. The first part of my day was extremely
boring. My sister made me get dressed and take her to the movies
with her friends later in the evening. Afterwards she failed to
call for me to pick her up, so I called and left the house after
finding out she picked up a ride with another friend. I went by
the coffee shop for a little while because Sarah Hindsman said
she, Kelli Henderson, and Janine Randles would be there hanging
out. A while later, Mitch Graham showed up, and invited me to
go see his new house. We hung out there for a little while, and
then went to pick up something to eat and stop by Olin Rankin's
house for a bit. He was having a little party of sorts. There
weren't a ton of people there. In fact, it looked like the small
crowd from the coffee shop simply moved from outside the coffee
shop to his front lawn. We hung out for a little while, and then
a bunch of us went from there back to Mitch's house to hang out
for a while. It got pretty late, so I decided to head on home
because my dad arrived home from Tunica earlier while I was out.
A little while after being home, my sister called from her friend's
house to have me pick her up, so I did that and then just laid
around my room the rest of the night.

6-24-01
Today, for the most part, has been incredibly boring. I just
sat around all day until it was time to take my sister to church
in the late afternoon. I went back later to pick her up, and then
stopped by Josh Higgins's house to give him a song playlist he
had written up for me long ago. From there we came home where
my sister ordered a pizza and I wrote a big fat check out to my
wonderful credit card company. Later that night, Thomas Hollingsworth
and I drove around for a little while, unsuccessfully trying to
find something to do. Afterwards I just spent hours vegetating,
wondering where everyone has disappeared to. I talked with Thomas
on the phone for a little while. Other than that, it's been really
quiet around here today.
On that note, I'd like to redirect your attention to the wonderful
world of Nay.
If you would be so kind as to check out her Amazon.com wishlist,
I'd like to draw your attention to the bottom section of already
purchased items. What would it take to get you, my faithful Gallopers,
to give me some lovin' like that? Would it help if I had bigger
breasts? Send comments and suggestions to god@gallopingcow.com!

6-23-01
After getting up and showering, I sat around until my sister
had me take her to church. She wanted to stop by Wal-Mart first
though, because she thought she had left her skit for church in
the van. We almost got smashed by a big red pickup truck as we
were waiting our turn in the turning lane. I heard a bunch of
crushing and metal-on-metal, looked to my right, and saw a big
red truck shaking rather violently and narrowly missing a perfect
opportunity to sideswipe me. I'm not sure what happened, but somehow
he had gotten between me and a boat on a trailer, and no doubt
scratched each other up pretty badly. Luckily nobody made any
contact with me, but it sure startled my sister and me. As it
turns out, her papers weren't in the van anyway, so I took her
to church and headed on home. Later on, Thomas Hollingsworth and
I went out to lunch and did some running around town. We got quite
a bit done, and had some fun in the process. Susi LeMaire called,
so I talked to her for a while. After taking Thomas home, I was
pretty much left to myself for the rest of the night. I watched
a couple movies and swam a bit. Very few people were around in
the evening for some reason. I think everyone left.

6-22-01
I inadvertently wound up getting out of my house some today.
It all started when I went outside to help my dad flip and dry
the pool cover, and then fold it up for storage. After that, my
dad, sister, and I went to Wal-Mart to pick up the van. I wandered
around the store with them for a while, and then followed them
to a used car store my sister wanted to go check out. They were
just closing, so I headed on home. On the way I stopped by PDQ
to see Kerryn Johns at work. She played with my Visor for a little
while, and then I went home where I sat for a while. Susi LeMaire
called for the first time in over a week, but only after I instructed
her to call via the Microsoft Network Messenger Service. Then
my dad took us out to eat at Whatta-Burger. It was quite tasty,
as usual. After we finished eating we came home where I had a
meeting with the guys from Damage
LAN. We didn't even cover a whole lot, but we're in good shape
now. Our next LAN party will be, as they say, "Rockin!"
Later that evening my sister wanted to go to the coffee shop,
so I took her and stayed for quite a while myself. None of her
friends were there, so she either hung around me or wandered around.
I had quite a time, running into such people as Kelli Henderson,
Sarah Hindsman, Janine Randles, Matt Saunders, Rachel Trusty,
Nikki Holbrook, Sarah Conley, and about a dozen other celebrities.
I got tired and thirsty, so eventually I got my sister to accept
the fact that we were leaving that place. We came home where I
searched for some good motorcycle insurance. Successful in my
quest, I shall now sleep comfortably at night. At less than $600
a year for insurance on a sport bike, who needs coverage for a
collision? I figure I'll be able to avoid those big targets on
a nice, maneuverable bike anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Later on I called Thomas Hollingsworth and spent several hours
mumbling into my phone about how rice is not an evil substance,
and that cuttlefish isn't so bad in jerky form.
|
6-21-01
Somehow I managed to keep busy today. After I got up and around,
I had some stuff to finish up for work. After fiddling around
with that until it worked, I got to talking with Travis Simpson,
and he came over to pick me up. We went up to his house just to
hang out for a while. We didn't do anything spectacular, but it
was more fun than sitting around my house doing nothing. He took
me home, I ate some yummy steak, I worked on this site for a bit,
I watched some TV, and eventually just crashed into bed.
|
6-20-01
I got a call this morning telling me I had missed my dentist
appointment. I had no idea I had one even coming up. This time
I rescheduled and added the date in my new Handspring Visor. If
nothing else, the calendar is dressed up now so that it looks
like I have a life. I cleaned up, stomped tin cans, and ran away.
Thomas Hollingsworth and I had to retrieve Grant Hall from Cafe
Santa Fe because we couldn't get a hold of him to tell him we
moved the meeting to El Matador. We had a pretty good meeting,
and the food was a bit different. After we finished up, Thomas,
Grant, and I left together. Ashley Hardin was pulling in just
as we pulled out, so we went to see her for a quick minute before
she had to go to work. Then we went to the bank to get an account
set up just before the place closed. After that we ran around
for a quick bit before I dropped Grant off and Thomas and I went
around and parted. A while after I finally returned home, my mom
griped at me while the rest of my family was somewhat content
with my existence. God forbid everyone be happy with me all at
the same time. I think now's the time to bring back the long-forgotten
"Zellie Needacar" fund. Perhaps this time it shall be
more successful than the last.
|
6-19-01
I didn't do much today. I woke up, sat around, watched TV, talked
to a few people online, and did some stuff for work. I believe
this is the shortest log to date.
|
6-18-01
I woke up with the munchies around lunch time. I got online and
talked to Travis Simpson for a bit. Then he came to pick me up,
and we went out to Taco Villa to eat. After that we came back
to my house to swim. We got some music to listen to outside, I
got online and invited Angie Jennings over, and he called Lisa
Horan to invite her. I went to pick up Angie, and eventually Lisa
got here. We all went out for quite a while to swim. Angie got
in this time, but wouldn't go as far as to dunk her head, still
mightily afraid of those evil hydro-monsters, I suppose. Maybe
if I tease her enough and then swim to the deep end, she'll eventually
learn how to swim and come after me. After we finished swimming,
we were going to go to Travis's house to watch Braveheart. I took
Angie home to change, we went to pick up some snacks, and then
we went up to Travis's. Angie got Lisa to bleach and dye her hair
with a bit of a reddish color while we all watched Braveheart.
We didn't get to finish the movie because it got too late. I took
Angie home and then came home myself. A Damage LAN meeting has
been scheduled for 3:00 this Wednesday.
|
6-17-01
I got up this morning when my sister woke me up to tell me to
get ready to go to Heber Springs. I thought we were just going
to see my grandparents, but there was a hidden purpose in our
voyage. My sister wanted to go to a Q100 radio station thing they
were doing at the Sonic in Heber Springs. They were giving away
chances to win some tickets to the next three *N Sync concerts.
We didn't get going in time though, so we didn't get to stop by
there. My dad's brother came as well, so it was all seven of us
there. We sat and talked for a while, had dinner, and then played
some cards. After a while we started heading home. When we got
back into town, we stopped by my aunt's house to get some food
she had made earlier in the day, and then we went home. I stayed
up to talk to Thomas Hollingsworth about our next LAN party, and
then watched some TV before taking a shower and going to bed.
|
6-16-01
I woke up this morning to my Visor's alarm. I turned it off,
but then moments later it went off again. I repeated this several
times, trying to get the thing to turn off for good, but wasn't
quite sure what I was doing. I eventually got up and went to the
ANO company picnic with my family. I ate, played a couple rounds
of bingo, and then went home to get ready for Travis Simpson's
birthday party. I made up a card for him, went to pick up Angie
Jennings, and then headed to his house. Travis, Lisa Horan, Dustin
Olson, Matt Farrar, and Jared Fitzgibbon were all there waiting.
Shortly after Angie and I arrived, we loaded up into Lisa's van
to go to Little Rock. Matt rode with Jared in his car, and the
rest of us went in the van. We had a lot of fun on the way, and
then when we got there. First we stopped by Toys "R"
Us just to wander around for a bit, and then we headed to Chuck
E. Cheese's where Lisa had reserved a party table. When we got
there, Jared and Matt were sitting outside waiting for us, since
they didn't go to Toys "R" Us with us. It was a ton
of fun just running around the place. We ate, played games, and
got cheap plastic prizes. Jared and Matt left early. The rest
of us were going to go to the other Toys "R" Us, but
on the way out Lisa had some problems with the van. It started
working fine again though, but it was decided that I should drive
the rest of the way, whether it was because of experience, Lisa
being afraid of the car breaking down, city driving, or perhaps
everyone had just lost their minds. I got us on our way, but Dustin
had me take a wrong turn and we wound up heading home instead
of towards the other Toys "R" Us. It was smooth sailing
on home. When we finally got to Travis's house, he was locked
out, so I invited everyone over to come swim at my house. Dustin
left us, so it was just Travis, Lisa, Angie, and me. We first
went to Lisa's house so she could pick up a suit. Then they followed
me to my house where we suited up and dove in. Angie, terrified
of all things aqueous, didn't swim, but she at least hung her
feet over the edge. It was a great night. After swimming, we came
inside and hung out in my room for a little while before everyone
headed out. Lisa left and gave Travis a ride home, and I took
Angie home. Now I just have to decide what to do with my first
credit card bill I got today. I suddenly feel so poor.

6-15-01
From the minute I woke up this morning, I had it set in my mind
that I was going to go to Taco Villa. At last the craving was
satisfied. I called in an order, and then went to pick it up.
I was quite satisfied for the rest of the day. After a while,
my dad and I went to pick up a pressure washer to rent for the
weekend. On the way we stopped by the Honda shop to check on an
insurance policy we heard a rumor about. At this point I'm still
not sure what type of bike I'll be getting. I still want a sport
bike, but if I can get by for a couple years on a Nighthawk
750 and then upgrade to a sport bike when the insurance company
deems me "mature" and pay craploads less for insurance,
I may go that way. We went on from there to get the pressure washer,
and then came back home. Half an hour later I had to go to work.
We all had a pretty good time there, covering a bit of business
with a laugh or two on the side. I love my job. I've got a bit
more to work on before I get the cash to pay for my Visor.
Dustin Summey mentioned reading my site and seeing his name, so
I figured I'd stick this sentence in today's log to bring up his
name again.
Come on search engines. Come alive! Find me!
The rest of the evening was pretty relaxed, but I've got a full
schedule tomorrow. It's quite handy having everything planned
out for me now in my Visor. I'm not sure if I've always been this
busy and haven't noticed until now when I've started writing things
down, or if a social life came free with the purchase of my Visor.
Either way - Rockin!

6-14-01
Today's been fairly worthless as far as days go. I slept for
most of the day. When I finally got up and around, I just sat
around. My sister had a few friends over to swim while I spent
my day in my room. I did a little web work and made what I believe
to be the best animated banner I have ever made. Travis Simpson,
the receiver of the animation, seemed to love it. Check out the
banner and his website,
for that matter. I cleaned my room up a bit more, enough now so
that small patches of carpet can even be seen through crevices
in the mass that once covered the entirety of my room. Not much
longer and there will even be room to walk in here once again
without clinging to the walls or performing a balancing act on
chairs and tall stacks of boxes.
|
6-13-01
This morning I started cleaning up my desk a bit so I could go
out later in the day. I got a little bit cleaned up, but quite
simply I have more stuff than my room can hold. I've probably
got enough stuff in my room to fill a house of my own. Later,
I was talking with Thomas Hollingsworth about the meeting we were
supposed to have today, and he decided we didn't have anything
to talk about, so I wound up not even leaving the house. After
that I didn't really do much. Damage
LAN is up, and hopefully soon will actually have some content.
|
6-12-01
I kept busy today. My boss called with some stuff to do, but
the meeting was canceled. I got my Handspring
Visor Platinum in today. It's pretty cool. I spent a lot of
time doing web work today, unfortunately none of which was on
my own site. I'll get some work in there sometime soon. After
I finished up everything for work, I went out and mowed the lawn.
After that I went and took a quick dip in the pool. It was really
cold at first, but after the initial dunk it was alright. Later
in the evening I went to Travis Simpson's to hang out for a while.
Eventually his mom kicked me out because it was getting late,
so I came home and played around with my Visor a bit more before
going to bed.
|
6-11-01
I didn't do anything today. My boss called and said I didn't
have to go in to work until tomorrow. I laid around the rest of
the day without much to do. Susi LeMaire called not feeling too
well, feeling quite hospital-worthy, in fact. She called back
later to tell me she got some medicine and was feeling a bit better.
Other than quite a few people checking out the Cow
Cam, my day was rather uneventful. I watched some really bad
late-night TV and bored myself to sleep.
|
6-10-01
My sister's friend Lyadonna fell asleep in my bed last night,
so I went and slept on the couch in the front room. My dad came
and woke me up to ask if I wanted to go to the magic club meeting
in Fort Smith. I got up, had breakfast, got ready, and then he
and I headed on up for the meeting. It was a pretty good meeting,
and afterwards we went to Best Buy to look around. Then we came
back home. I sat around for the rest of the evening. My sister
had her friends Lyadonna and Matt come over to swim for a while,
and then they got into some sort of a fight and they left. I sure
am glad I don't have any friends to fight with.
|
6-9-01
Today was a pretty big day. I got up, showered, and got on the
computer. Susi LeMaire called, and we talked for a while. I didn't
do much for the rest of the day. Later that evening, I went to
the wedding of, now, Eric and Nikki Moore. It was a nice wedding,
and afterwards the reception was at the Outdoor Living Center's
recreation hall, the same place we have our LAN parties for Damage
Gaming. The reception was fun. I got up and danced a bit,
and just hung out with a bunch of friends. After the reception,
I gave Robin Barr a ride home. Moments later the rest of her family
pulled up, so I helped them bring things in and then came back
home. My sister's friend Lyadonna is here to spend the night.
She came into my room and chatted around on my computer while
I was on the phone with Thomas Hollingsworth. After I got off
the phone, we watched some TV.
|
6-8-01
I didn't really have anything planned today, other than just
sit around the house. Travis Simpson came online and invited Angie
Jennings and me over to his house to hang out. They wanted their
new bunnies to meet each other. I had to take my sister to a hair
appointment at 2:00, so I went to pick up Angie and her bunny,
Hazel, and brought her back to my house to hang out for a little
while before having to take my sister. It was finally time to
go, so I dropped my sister off, and then Angie and I headed up
to Travis's. You can read Angie's description
of the day on her web
site. Her Lapine
Love Story describes the bunnies' first encounter with each
other. Travis had his brother and sister bring their bunnies down
to his room as well, so we had four of the little critters hopping
around on the floor. After hours of entertainment, Angie and I
headed home. Hazel had decided that moving to a site of designated
peeing would be too much work, so Angie wanted to change clothes,
and I had to go home to see if my mom needed to run some errands.
My dad had made it home before me, though, so she took the van
out to run around town, thus making my trip back home useless.
After a little while, Angie and I went back up to Travis's, where
his girlfriend Lisa Horan had come to visit as well. We stayed
there for a little while longer to hang out without the bunnies.
Eventually I had to take Angie back home, and then I came home
myself. Later that night, the Damage
Gaming crew had a meeting on MSN. We got quite a bit of stuff
done and decided. A little while after the meeting, Jeana Rogers
added me to her MSN list, and we talked for a little while. That's
when I realized that Nikki Barr and Eric Moore's wedding is tomorrow.
I just laid around for the rest of the night.

I got up this morning and laid around for a little while. After
showering and getting dressed, I went to pick up Angie Jennings,
and then we went out to look for a pet bunny for her. She picked
one out of a bunch at the pet store, so we took it back to her
house and made it a little home. She had Rachel Trusty come play
with it for a bit. After a while she kicked me out, so I went
driving for a little while. I saw Janine Randles heading somewhere,
so I decided to try and catch up with her, but by the time I got
turned around and everything she was long gone. From there I went
on home for a while. The time finally rolled around for me to
go to the meeting with the other guys from Damage Gaming, so I
went to Cafe Santa Fe and covered a lot of important stuff. After
we finished up with the meeting, Thomas Hollingsworth, Grant Hall,
and I went running around town for a bit to check on some things
for our next LAN party. After that everyone went home. Jason Huynh
called me a bit later, and I went to his house to hang out for
a while. We wound up hanging out on into the early hours of the
morning, so he took me out for breakfast. Then I came back home
and just sat around for a while.

Today was my typical boring day for the most part. I was supposed
to go drop off some stuff at Compute, but my dad didn't leave
me the car like he was supposed to, and I didn't feel like hauling
the van around. My mom, sister, Lyadonna who spent the night here,
and my aunt all went to Little Rock to go shopping and stuff,
so I sat around all day quite bored. Later in the afternoon, I
got to talking to Angie Jennings, and she mentioned wanting to
watch the movies A Clockwork Orange and Heathers.
Moments later while going out to the kitchen for a drink, I noticed
someone had rented a movie, and to my surprise it was, in fact,
A Clockwork Orange. Apparently it's one of the movies my
sister could choose to watch for one of her classes next year.
I wish my classes would ask me to watch movies. I invited Angie
over to watch it, and then I went to pick her up. We watched the
movie, deciding several times throughout that it was indeed a
twisted flic. After the movie, I took her home, came back home,
and resumed my laying around the house. I managed to get back
up to speed on this site. I know it's a lot of reading to do,
but it's not like there'll be a test at the end. Read if you wish;
if not, I'm sure you'll like these
articles. I swear, Mom! I only read Galloping Cow for the
daily logs!

I can barely remember why I woke up at all today. I do remember
that after a bit of consciousness, Susi LeMaire called me. I hadn't
heard from her in a few days, and she said she wasn't feeling
well for some reason. I didn't get to talk to her long before
I had to head on out to a meeting at Cafe Santa Fe. Thomas Hollingsworth,
Aaron Bailey, and I sat around a table in the otherwise empty
restaurant and made plans for the next LAN party. We'll be having
one July 7th, the first Saturday in July. Grant Hall couldn't
make it to the meeting, but he called me later to tell me he was
interested in helping us out. We had to call the meeting short
because I had to be at work at 4:00, but when I got there I found
out nobody else had gotten their message anyway, so I was the
only one there. After about half an hour I went home and called
Grant back to talk about Damage Gaming. He, Thomas, and I talked
on a 3 way for a short while, and then the three of us got into
a chat on MSN with Aaron so we could talk about things a bit more.
We planned another meeting at 3:30 on Thursday so all four of
us could be there. Robert Couser stopped by to pick up a couple
CDs, and a while later I went to my aunt's to get a haircut. After
that I came home for a little while, I wanted to go out and do
something. I talked to Travis Simpson for a little while, and
he said I could go over there. On the way, I picked up Angie Jennings
so the three of us could just go hang out for a while. So much
has changed since Travis and I were best friends many, many years
ago. He's still a really cool guy, he's still an artist, and he
still likes toys, but now he's rich, has facial hair, and a little
white bunny with a black collar. I took Angie home by 11, and
then came home myself. My sister had a couple friends over for
a late night pool party. I was eventually asked to give Matt a
ride home, being that he wasn't going to spend the night with
the two girls. Lyadonna is spending the night, and I suppose going
to Little Rock with my mom and sister tomorrow. I get to stay
home, but I've got a bit of work to do. I need to do some major
work on this site, finish up some stuff for work, and Angie said
we could go out and do something sometime during the day. I stayed
online for a while and talked to Janine Randles some. She just
got internet at home, so she's been on all night. She insists
I call her so we can go hang out sometime. Somehow I can never
seem to hold a grudge. I'd like to think that's a good quality,
but I've rambled on enough without starting into human psychology
or what could perhaps evolve into a long speech on morality. If
I haven't bored all my readers to death thus far, God bless you
for putting up with such nonsensical crap I often subject you
to on this grassy pasture I like to call home.

I got up noon today, after about 10 hours of sleep. I did pretty
well, considering I had to stay up from Saturday morning until
Sunday night, which was technically Monday morning. Thomas Hollingsworth
called, and we decided to go to the building at 7:00 to clean
the rest of things up. Ben Nordin stopped by to drop off a CD
I had loaned to him a while back. I went to the building and cleaned
up with Thomas for a few hours, and then came home and sat on
the computer for a while. Ordinary life seems so bland after a
weekend like that.

6-3-01
It was pretty quiet with just the five of us in the building.
Around 11:30 I went to pick up Angie Jennings, who wanted to come
back to the party for a while. Thomas Hollingsworth had promised
to come back soon, but he never showed. The other four guys left,
and Angie and I cleaned the building up a bit. I had to take her
back home so she could get ready and go see Rachel Trusty's baptism,
and then I went by Mitch's house to return his car keys to him
and take him back to the LAN party so he could pick it up. He
stayed there to play some games for a while. Eventually Thomas
showed up, along with Travis Anderson and Clayton Paty. Travis
just packed up and left, but Thomas, Mitch, and I played some
games. I managed to fall asleep for a short while, and then woke
up later when it was time to pack up and leave. I took all of
my stuff home, showered, and crashed in bed.

I got up this morning when Thomas Hollingsworth called. I had
slept in by a couple hours, and people had already begun showing
up early to the party. I ran on down there to help finish setting
things up. It was quite hectic at first, but things smoothed out
nicely and lots of people showed up. There were supposed to be
quite a few more people, but it was a great turnout despite. We
managed to fill all but one of the tables with people and computers.
When Angie Jennings and Rachel Trusty showed up, they pulled out
some nail polish and Angie painted my pinkies pink and purple.
I ran home a couple times, but for the most part just stayed at
the party. I stopped by to see Kerryn Johns at work once to remind
her about the party. She promised she'd come, but ditched us in
the end for another party. Only 4 guys wound up staying at the
party over night. Even Thomas went home to sleep. I stayed up
all night with the guys all night.

I went out today with Thomas Hollingsworth so we could get ready
for the tournament this weekend. We ran all around town getting
such things as drinks, and even a computer from Compute. For lunch
we stopped by Perkins. It was a great meal, despite the fact that
it wasn't really a meal, but an appetizer that I ate. We came
back to my house for a bit, and then went out to set up our computers
and the building. We cut up cardboard to cover the windows, set
tables up, stocked the refrigerator with all sorts of drinks,
and got everything set up for the party. Several people stopped
by to check things out. Thomas eventually had to go home, but
I stayed out there for quite a while longer finishing up the windows
and everything. Eventually I came on home and got some sleep.
