The Bouillon the Playground

I’ve been aching all day. It was cheddar and beans with hint-of-lime tortilla chips and a vegetable soup bouillon cube to keep me going this morning. Not together, but as a snack and then soup. I was surprised at how good the vegetable broth was. It really soothed my chest for a while.

Late in the afternoon after a shower, I went by my parents’ house to try and find something more solid to eat, but they weren’t home. They stopped by later in the evening to bring me some bánh bao and said they had gone to see Thor. I expressed my desire for something not-soup and mentioned New China. They both perked up at that, so we went there and I’m pretty sure our waitress was judging me.

Back home, it was a bunch of hot tea and procrastination.

And I know you won’t remember memories in ember.

Unhappenness

I slept a bunch last night, and felt a little better for it. I still have some sinus stuff going on, which I’ll probably carry in either my head or chest for the next few months.

It was bean burritos all day, but fewer than I would have expected. Between them, I cleaned up the living room and burned a bunch of brush in my backyard. Bác Vân was outside when I got things started and decided to come help. Together we managed to keep from burning down the whole neighborhood.

There’s always tomorrow.

When the gales of November came early

We skipped our meeting this morning so the vets could go to an assembly, so I spent most of it at Oakland to work on a printing issue there. I felt pretty happy with my understanding of the parts this time, but still had to go to the shop for some guidance.

Lunch was CJ’s, then back to the shop for a while. I never made it to the junior high, but Ronda emailed to say they had a surprise for me. Monday should be interesting.

I had planned to come home and clean house some for some fire-making tomorrow, but I didn’t feel so smurfy. I ended up lying in bed all evening. I wish I could just go to sleep.

Today’s workout: 2/3 lb burger curls

#publicschools

I don’t feel like I gained anything at work today.

Lunch was McAlister’s where I paid $11 for half a sandwich and a cup of soup because I am a sucker.

After work, I went to Walmart to look for a garden hose. I picked up some pixers and stuff for bean and cheese burritos instead. Then I checked Lowe’s and Tractor Supply Co. I ended up picking up a 100 foot hose on clearance for like $30, so I can’t feel too bad even if it sucks.

Once home, I watched Ben’s at Home, which wasn’t really anything that I expected it might be. It was okay, but unrelatable.

Red

I only need hose for one area code.

I’ve been feeling a little lost at work lately. I feel a rut coming along.

I skipped lunch in favor of my breakfast Soylent, but then had some leftover pizza in the afternoon, so I didn’t get dinner either. I just came home and played Overwatch after frustrating myself trying to find a garden hose.

Because I’m me.

Doot Doot

An opened Soylent will not keep over the weekend in a backpack. It may not have been terribly bad for me, but it definitely tasted stronger than it should have, so I poured it out.

I had lunch with the girls in the library and took a few more discarded pumpkins to give to Dad.

We hung another touch panel after school, and we actually operated the most efficiently I’ve ever seen.

After work, I ate a slice of cake in front of the girls as they worked out in the workshop, because I am a hilarious jerk.

Then I went to my parents’ house for some dinner before coming home to some Overwatch with a random internet friend I had made in game last week. We did really well together, so we’ll probably be doing more of that again in the future.

CELEBRATORY KAZOOING INTENSIFIES

A Slice of Super Supremacy

Close enough…

This morning was rough, but well prepped. The trick is overhydration. And a pair of Hardee’s Pork Chop ‘n’ Gravy Biscuits. But damn was I ever craving some well-done hash browns all-the-way. I almost stayed up at like 3:30 to go get some, but settled for the biscuits after the regularly scheduled alarm.

We had a weird FMLA training meeting at work, so they ordered some Papa John’s pizza, and I made some off-color jokes with the assistant superintendent. Boundaries are for sissies. The trick is to make sure they laugh so they’re guilty too.

After work, I finished up some mango soup at my parents’ house, then came home and got lost in a Reddit/YouTube rabbit hole.

Panda panda panda panda…

We’re Here and Now

I feel like every time I sleep in my bed, it’s better than the last time. It needed a little break-in time when I made the sheet change, but otherwise I’m happy with it.

Mom made bánh mì for lunch, so I went across down for that. Afterward I came home to finish my placement matches in Overwatch. I didn’t rank as highly as I would have liked, and I felt like it was genuinely an issue with team composition both times that we had a losing match.

Having enough of that, I took a shower and started cleaning up some more around the house. The cats are shedding way more than they should be for this time of the year. It’s like springtime right now. I could build an army of cats from all the fur I vacuum up.

As the evening came, I started a couple loads of laundry and settled in with a rum and Coke to watch Whiplash.

I never really know a killer from a savior.

The Tiniest of Progressions

I managed to win all but one of my placement matches in Overwatch this morning and afternoon.

Then I finally did the dishes.

I went to my parents’ house for dinner. It was really warm outside. It’s November.

I think I want to paint.

Teeth of Blue

Today was mostly filled with accomplishment and a willingness from everyone to work hard enough to go home early. It was really something everyone could stand behind. We mounted a couple touch panels before lunch, then went to Wendy’s for Gary’s birthday. After lunch, we split up and I spent some time at both of my campuses.

After work, I came home to pick up my new bluetooth car audio adapter. I had relatively few problems with the Miracast dongle that I’ve been using for years, but it was annoying for other people to use, and I felt like the audio quality could have been improved. Amazon had one on sale a few days ago that would fit my needs perfectly, and I’m quite happy with it after just the first night.

After a while, I had to pick up some cat food and safflower seed to use as litter, so I went by Atwoods on my way to my parents’ house for some leftover dinner. Then it was back home and eventually to bed.

Your voice, it chased away all the sanity in me.
