Speaker Now or Forever Hold Your Pieces

I spent all day at the junior high, and finally feel like I can see the end of the deployment. I still have so much to do, but at least now I don’t feel like I’ll be doing this until I die.

I skipped lunch again, and used a second Soylent to power through some more work. I should be able to turn around and sell a lot of the discarded computers just as soon as I’m done deploying the new ones.

After work, I went by my parents’ house for dinner, but left right away because UPS made a delivery for me. I finally got the matching center channel speaker to my tower set. It’s significantly smaller than the old one, but I’m glad to have a completely matching kit, aside from the sub since that would be too much of a downgrade. I figure I don’t really need the large speakers for the center as much if I’m surrounded by six of the towers anyway.

Once I got the new center set up, I loaded the two old towers and old center into the car and took them back to my parents’ house for them to use, then had some leftover fish soup. When I finished dinner, I came back home and played some Rocket League with Josh until my laundry finished.

Now, hopefully I’ll be able to fall right to sleep to some folk metal.

Talk Like a Pirate Day 2017

I woke up today and happened to talk to Alexa to find out that it was Talk Like a Pirate Day. She sang me an awesome shanty, which was apparently an original composition. I had been saving my Aaarrrgyle shirt for the occasion, but I never took off my work polo to even show it off. It was a secret fun shirt.

After work, I went to my parents’ house for some fish soup, then came home to some rum and Rocket League. Gotta keep the pirate thing going, I guess.

I hate gnats.

Deep Loy

Today got hot and clammy really quickly. There’s a tiny chance of rain just about all week long, and Bikes, Blues, and BBQ is this weekend. I hope it cools off by then.

I had talked to Zach about lunch, but when the time rolled around, he slid out with the others. I kind of let it bum me out for the afternoon, so I had a Soylent and powered through some new PC deployments. I’m making a noticeable dent in it now, at least.

After work, I went by my parents’ house to help finish up the eggplant soup, then came home where Bác Vân had some leftover fish soup to give me. I talked to her for a little bit and mentioned my Soylent, and she wanted to try some, so I gave her a cacao to try. Nobody else has really been interested, so I was happy to share.

I capped the evening with some PUBG and Rocket League that didn’t go very well. Tomorrow will be more of the same of everything.

Nothing good happens here.

I find your lack of ambition disturbing…

I made myself get up before noon today, but it didn’t help me make anything of my day. I watched Rogue One and ate a can of soup, which would have been the highlight of my Sunday, had I not left the house to eat leftover curry at my parents’ house. Oh, I did encounter a massive spider in a web in my garage as I left, so I relocated him outside.

I guess I also cleaned my laundry room and did a couple loads of laundry, but that hardly counts for anything.

Rut rut rutty ruttin rut.

Summer’s Ending

I don’t know why I’m staying up so late and having so much trouble getting up early lately. I tried waking up early today, but was way too exhausted and ended up sleeping until the afternoon.

I watched Nerve before going to my parents’ house for a curry dinner. Dad and I covered the pool, then Mom had me go in and eat while they cleaned up outside. After I ate, I came back home and played PUBG with the guys until pretty late, but the rest of the internet is what kept me up until nearly 3AM.

I can feel the season changing, but nothing else.

Work work work work work

Today was the day for accomplishing work.

We started out building Chromebook carts and scrap pallets for pickup, then went to Fat Daddy’s for lunch. I destroyed a BBQ spud without any trouble, then we came back to the junior high and split up for cable runs and a sound system relocation. It felt great to have people on board to actually do things.

After work, Jesica was supposed to come by so we could go to Conway for dinner, but she ended up ditching without saying anything. I kind of appreciated the time to relax at home, though. I got some PUBG in, and ate some leftover nachos.

Most importantly, I’m almost through with this hard candy I bought in 2004.

The Mexicity

I inadvertently avoided working too hard this morning until lunch when Allen and I went to Taco Villa. I ate way too much, then tried to make something of myself at the junior high in the afternoon. Jesica called and said she would be passing through and wanted to visit, so after work I met her at Morello’s for a shrimp chimichanga. It was there that I met her klepto side as she took her whole bowl of jalapeños and stuffed it into her takeout container.

When I finally made it home, Josh and I lost at some Rocket League until bedtime. Tomorrow it’s my team day, and hopefully I can make something of it.

I gotta remember to forget you.

Razing Order

I forgot about a meeting this morning for testing. I had it on my calendar, but I have so many things on my calendar that I don’t pay close attention to them any more. I’ll have to remember to set reminders in the future.

I worked up enough of an appetite by lunch that I went to Arby’s, then met Ben and Ryan at the junior high where they would help me run cables and replace WAPs. I was super appreciative of the help, but disappointed in myself for not having a better game plan in place. Granted, having the help in the middle of the week was a huge surprise, but I should have been more organized. This is why I can’t have nice things.

After work, I went to my parents’ for some leftover pan-fried chicken. I didn’t feel full, but I knew I ate too much.

When I finally got home, I decided to join up for some games, but ended up getting teamkilled by a sour Keno, then aggravated at a Johnny that forgot to take his don’t-be-an-asshole medicine.

Today’s words are “willpower” and “order.”

Like a Boss

I felt a little scattered today at work. I ended up working through most of lunch, then went to the revenue office to renew the registration on my sailboat. It was a little over a year past expiration, and instead of getting a new three year registration, they charged full price for the “remainder” of the three years I would have had if I had renewed on time, which makes no sense for a boat that was completely out of use. Unfortunately, it’s the government, so I don’t think you just ask for a supervisor to verify the process.

In the afternoon, Ben came by the junior high to help me out, so we hung a touch TV, then split up so he could hang WAPs and I could replace a teacher machine. He says he’s coming around tomorrow afternoon as well, and I’m excited to have someone there to help me actually accomplish something.

After work, I stopped by my parents’ house for a little dinner, then came home and watched Independence Day: Resurgence. The 3D was pretty great, and I ended up staying awake to finish it. I had too much trouble getting out of bed this morning though, so I really need some sleep somehow.

This one is definitely bigger than the last one!

What is time, even?

Today didn’t even really seem like a day. I don’t know what it was about it.

Wholly unremarkable.

I had a small sandwich at Firehouse for like nine bucks, and it was the smallest sandwich I could possibly imagine ever in my life. Like comically small. But with a clown-sized medium drink. I don’t want to be in this backward-assed country any more.

After work, I stopped by my parents’ for some leftovers, then came home and played a few rounds of Overwatch before losing the rest of my evening to the internet.

I’ve second-guessed the day of the week three times today, and it’s only the beginning of the week.
