Fo’ Drizzle

I snuck out halfway through testing this morning so I could not sign up for insurance. It started raining out of seemingly nowhere, and it felt good somehow. From there, I stayed at the shop until lunch at Popeye’s with Zach, Ryan, and Dale, who met us there. Part of the way back, we followed GR8TOES, who either has a foot fetish, operates a pedicure shop, or both.

I’ve struggled to accomplish things for the past week or so, but I’ve had a few good opportunities to really learn something useful. I think I’m just finding the struggle in my ability to keep myself organized and on task when self-managed.

After work, I had dinner with the parents, then came home and did basically nothing for hours somehow. Even browsing Reddit would have been more of an accomplishment, so I’m not really sure what happened. I just spaced.

I wish it was as easy as pouring till it overflows.

Old Big Mac Post

I had testing first thing this morning at the junior high. The issues they had could have been avoided with more hands-on checking beforehand, but it wasn’t really anyone’s fault. It was only a minor annoyance, but I loathe the thought of documenting it as an issue I was required to be on-site to resolve.

The Wight Office Machines guys came to our office with a Kyocera rep and fed us some Old Post to curry barbecue our favor. Someone ate only a top-bun, so I used their bottom bun to make a Big Mac barbecue sandwich with the shredded mammal on bottom and sliced bird on top. I’m not really sure where to direct my aggravation over the PaperCut/print service rollout delays, but it’s going to take at least a couple more catered meals to make me feel better about it. Really I’m even more aggravated that there wasn’t very much banana pudding left by the time I got there.

I spent the better part of the afternoon and even some of the evening at Oakland working on a computer for possibly the quietest, sweetest, most agreeable teacher I’ve ever supported. I had to swing by a couple times throughout the evening to complete the job, and I’m not even upset. Somewhere in there, I went by my parents’ house for some rice soup to soothe my chest cold.

Back home, I had to fight more SuddenLink drops. I nervously removed my UPS from the equation, and I’m going to be really upset if this resolves the issue, because I don’t need any more equipment fried due to forced negligence.

But how can I escape you if you’re in my head?

Two Sizes Too Small

I got to the junior high today, and found the librarian had broken into my office and set up a Christmas tree after I had been ridiculing her for playing holiday music before Thanksgiving. I still insist there should be more songs about food, but that’s not the point. Christmas needs to stay in the last half of December.

I had to laugh because Jessica could barely even find a flat spot to place the tree, much less an available outlet to power the lights on the tree. She also forgot to set up the tree skirt, so she gave it to me and I relocated the tree to the back corner of my office against a nice brick wall.

They had me along for lunch again, which was sort of cafeteria nachos. I tried taking a bit more care in assembly this time, but still ended up with a big heaped mess. I felt like I had a better amalgam of slop this time though, and it was pretty good.

After work, I went by my parents’ house for dinner then came home feeling less than stellar with the head and now chest cold. Tomorrow is the start of testing for the junior high, and I’m so excited that I just can’t hide it.

And I know, I know, I know, I know, I know I want you.

The Bouillon the Playground

I’ve been aching all day. It was cheddar and beans with hint-of-lime tortilla chips and a vegetable soup bouillon cube to keep me going this morning. Not together, but as a snack and then soup. I was surprised at how good the vegetable broth was. It really soothed my chest for a while.

Late in the afternoon after a shower, I went by my parents’ house to try and find something more solid to eat, but they weren’t home. They stopped by later in the evening to bring me some bánh bao and said they had gone to see Thor. I expressed my desire for something not-soup and mentioned New China. They both perked up at that, so we went there and I’m pretty sure our waitress was judging me.

Back home, it was a bunch of hot tea and procrastination.

And I know you won’t remember memories in ember.

Unhappenness

I slept a bunch last night, and felt a little better for it. I still have some sinus stuff going on, which I’ll probably carry in either my head or chest for the next few months.

It was bean burritos all day, but fewer than I would have expected. Between them, I cleaned up the living room and burned a bunch of brush in my backyard. Bác Vân was outside when I got things started and decided to come help. Together we managed to keep from burning down the whole neighborhood.

There’s always tomorrow.

When the gales of November came early

We skipped our meeting this morning so the vets could go to an assembly, so I spent most of it at Oakland to work on a printing issue there. I felt pretty happy with my understanding of the parts this time, but still had to go to the shop for some guidance.

Lunch was CJ’s, then back to the shop for a while. I never made it to the junior high, but Ronda emailed to say they had a surprise for me. Monday should be interesting.

I had planned to come home and clean house some for some fire-making tomorrow, but I didn’t feel so smurfy. I ended up lying in bed all evening. I wish I could just go to sleep.

Today’s workout: 2/3 lb burger curls

Rug It

#publicschools

I don’t feel like I gained anything at work today.

Lunch was McAlister’s where I paid $11 for half a sandwich and a cup of soup because I am a sucker.

After work, I went to Walmart to look for a garden hose. I picked up some pixers and stuff for bean and cheese burritos instead. Then I checked Lowe’s and Tractor Supply Co. I ended up picking up a 100 foot hose on clearance for like $30, so I can’t feel too bad even if it sucks.

Once home, I watched Ben’s at Home, which wasn’t really anything that I expected it might be. It was okay, but unrelatable.

Red

I only need hose for one area code.

I’ve been feeling a little lost at work lately. I feel a rut coming along.

I skipped lunch in favor of my breakfast Soylent, but then had some leftover pizza in the afternoon, so I didn’t get dinner either. I just came home and played Overwatch after frustrating myself trying to find a garden hose.

Because I’m me.

Doot Doot

An opened Soylent will not keep over the weekend in a backpack. It may not have been terribly bad for me, but it definitely tasted stronger than it should have, so I poured it out.

I had lunch with the girls in the library and took a few more discarded pumpkins to give to Dad.

We hung another touch panel after school, and we actually operated the most efficiently I’ve ever seen.

After work, I ate a slice of cake in front of the girls as they worked out in the workshop, because I am a hilarious jerk.

Then I went to my parents’ house for some dinner before coming home to some Overwatch with a random internet friend I had made in game last week. We did really well together, so we’ll probably be doing more of that again in the future.

CELEBRATORY KAZOOING INTENSIFIES

A Slice of Super Supremacy

Close enough…

This morning was rough, but well prepped. The trick is overhydration. And a pair of Hardee’s Pork Chop ‘n’ Gravy Biscuits. But damn was I ever craving some well-done hash browns all-the-way. I almost stayed up at like 3:30 to go get some, but settled for the biscuits after the regularly scheduled alarm.

We had a weird FMLA training meeting at work, so they ordered some Papa John’s pizza, and I made some off-color jokes with the assistant superintendent. Boundaries are for sissies. The trick is to make sure they laugh so they’re guilty too.

After work, I finished up some mango soup at my parents’ house, then came home and got lost in a Reddit/YouTube rabbit hole.
