GUARANTEED TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

I can’t stop missing out on gains. All day yesterday, Doge steadily dropped while I held on for dear life. Then I sold just seconds before it shot up. I tried playing the buy/sell game today, all for $75. It’s just not making me rich like I wanted.

Gary took Brody and me to Crawford to relocate a classroom setup because the kids in that room apparently just kick and bite, and there’s nothing anybody can do about it. It didn’t quite take us until lunch, but it was relatively close. We went to the shop for a little while, and then a group of us went to La Chiquita.

For some reason, there were a bunch of really big frogs thrown out in the parking lot. Someone must have hunted them and forgotten them in a cooler or something, and dumped them in the parking lot. It was either that, or a dark summoning portal.

After lunch, I stopped by Oakland for a signature and some hugs. Erica was there for lunch to visit, which was a nice surprise. I couldn’t stay too long though, and headed back to the shop for some more work.

I ended the day at the high school with Ethan, and we chatted briefly about robotics while I tried to troubleshoot his connection to a drone. Gary said Central Office went home at 3:30, so I left to trade vehicles before picking up Eaddie at Oakland. We ran into Michael, and I chatted to him a bit more about crypto before we went home.

Eaddie and I watched a couple episodes of House before Summer got home. They were hungry, and I still had to get Autumn from a band cookout at the marina, so I picked up some KFC on the way back up. From there, it was a quiet night in with various ailments.

Ride it Out

Today was much less tense than yesterday. I rode in to work, and everyone was friendly again. It was like all the tensions from the crazy start of the week had just melted away. I didn’t get into any big projects, but got plenty done all the same. We had a lockdown drill upstairs, and I got to walk around with Zach just to see what that was like. It was even more dull than I expected, as none of the adults really practiced anything.

Most of us went to Stoby’s for lunch, and the chicken taco salad I had was pretty great. Then the afternoon was more of the same. Doge just steadily dropped all day, and I kept watching the bounces as an indication that I should stay in, but it just kept going all day long.

After work, I got Eaddie and we went by the shop to set up a projector for Summer. Then I got Eaddie a kid’s meal from Dairy Queen before taking her out on a motorcycle ride all around town. It was just a little cool out for the shorts I had changed into, so I grabbed pants and a light hoodie to take her home. Autumn had a band concert that her father picked her up from, so I was out of any other kid duty for the night.

When I got back home for the evening, I successfully turned the diving Dogecoin around by selling a larger quantity of it. I still have quite a bit, but the needle moves much slower at this volume. I just keep failing to get back in at a lower rate. I guess I should either take the money and run, or hold forever.

I’m ready for my luck to turn around again.

Dogegonit

It was nice again today, so I took the Shadow to work. Things started eerily quiet and it never really got any better. I just felt uneasy everywhere I went. I stayed to myself in my office for the most part, but kept having to do things for the newbies instead of getting any of my own projects done.

I met Brody at the junior high for teacher appreciation burgers, then mingled around there for a while afterward to help with a few other things. When I got back to my office, things were still really quiet. It didn’t help that so many people are missing.

After work, I went home to get the car so I could get the girls, only to realize that Summer had already gotten them. I think she told me, but I’ve just had so much going on that I can’t keep up any more. I’m really starting to break down.

I came back home for a little bit, but then had to go to the shop to get an old projector for Summer to use tomorrow. Then I continued on to my parents’ house to help clean up some phở. After I ate, I came back home and had to clean up a different projector because Summer didn’t have anything with VGA. Then I had to mess with my computers some in order to get to my resume.

With my resume officially done, I’m just waiting for one more letter, and then I’ll send it all off. I should probably also email my intent just in case they do something sneaky with the listing online. That seems my luck.

Watch what I do, and then do the complete opposite.

Doge You Forget About Me

Zach called me this morning and asked me to run by Crawford to look at a lunch line. That was an easy fix, but evidently the middle school was hit much harder by the storms, so I was the only one in the office for most of the day. They lost quite a bit of equipment over there due to a lightning strike that made its way to the switch from an ethernet port. Gary was replacing switches, and Zach and Josh were working on doors, cameras, and intercoms. The morning went by super quickly while I did what work I could, and watched my Dogecoin make some pretty wild swings.

Gary came back with some food for teacher appreciation week, but then Zach and Josh showed up and the four of us went to CJ’s for lunch. I got sidetracked for most of the afternoon digging through contract info, and discovered some pretty nasty stuff. Then Kyle came down to the shop and asked for some help pulling an HDMI cable through the ceiling at Oakland.

When we finished, I ended up staying super late talking to Mike about cryptocurrencies and Doge. I told him not to be crazy like me. The bubble just keeps on growing, and the fear of missing out on getting rich quickly is driving everyone crazy.

I ran home to change, but had to go by Crawford to replace the CMOS battery in the lunch line computer. Then I took the girls home from karate and finished up some leftovers there while we waited for Summer to get home. We chatted and I hung out for a little bit, but then came home to sleep while Doge picked up some more steam.

Doge stop…believing!

Classified Woe Is Me Committee

It was a little rainy this morning, but it cleared up and got a little hot by the afternoon. All I could do was try and wrap up a couple projects in my office this morning before my performance review, upon which nothing is based. When lunch time came around, a group of us went to Zaxby’s since the dining room was open. Then I got kicked out of my office for the rest of the day while other reviews happened.

Kyle asked me to take care of something at Sequoyah while he had his turn with Ben, so I ran across town and updated iOS on an iPad while James, The Too Busy For eSchool, Yet Overpaid for a Teacher’s Aid, was running around unable to help. I got back to the shop just in time for our CPPC meeting, so I walked across the street and listened to an old man drone on about simplifying some policies, which I actually agreed with for the most part.

By the end of the meeting, we were all pretty tired of hearing him talk, but we had a mission to condense job titles or roles, and add job descriptions to every role that we have. I’ll be taking that and running with it to try and completely restructure our department, which very possibly might not work, but at least I’ll have tried.

When I finally left work, I had to run by Walgreens to drop off a FedEx package for Josh and pick up some medication that the nurse assured me would stop being filled by the pharmacy since I’ve been off the medication for months. Then I went home for a while before going to Summer’s for dinner.

I wasn’t hungry, but Summer grilled steaks and made some asparagus that sounded really good, and I hadn’t gotten to see any of them today anyway. We ate and chatted for a little bit, and then I headed home to miss the rain and thunderstorms.

Double or nothing.

Properly Mounted

The girls went out with their father around lunch time while Summer and I spent too many hours swapping TV mounts. I got a new tilting mount for the living room because the height of the TV made 3D unbearably blurry. Once we got the new mount hung, I dropped the angle of the TV until 3D looked right while seated or standing. Then we took the old mount to the front bedroom where the girls have been sleeping, and hung the super cheap Onn TV we had. I also had a new Chromecast with Google TV, so they’ll be happy.

Once that was sorted, Summer went to the gym until it was time to head to my parents’ house for dinner. Mom made some phở, and of course Dad had dessert. Then we each went home for the night. I continued picking up around the house and did another load of laundry. I’ve been feeling slowly overwhelmed by both work and home, and there’s still so much that I have to complete before our vacation.

My heart longs to join them, sing songs of the sea.

Ballooned

The girls left for a 5k this morning and let me sleep in. Summer didn’t realize it, but Ben texted me and said she won second in her division. When she got back to the event, she realized Eaddie had also gotten first in her division. I didn’t sleep for too long, and tried to get around to doing something.

Doge was doing pretty well, so it was hard not to get sucked into watching it. I did get showered and moved a few things around, but I never did get the TVs moved and re-hung the way I wanted to. The girls came back over in the late afternoon and were hungry, so we went to CiCi’s for dinner. Afterward they were too tired to go to the hot air balloon event, so we dropped them off at my house.

Dad wanted to go with us, so we picked him up and went to the soccer complex on the other side of the mountain. There wasn’t nearly enough parking to have the event out there, but for whatever reason they didn’t hold the event at Old Post. We had to walk quite a ways to get there, and then spent about half of our time looking at the wood carvings.

When we did get to the hot air balloons, there were only three of them working on getting inflated. Then one of them didn’t stay inflated for very long before they packed it back up. I guess it was just too windy to really do tethered rides, so it was a pretty lame turnout.

The girls were in bed by the time we got home, so Summer went straight to bed while I tinkered on the computer until I got sleepy too.

Howling at the moon for the next week.

Review Letters

It was nice out again, so I took the Shadow to work. I made it just on time for a non-meeting this morning, and then worked in my office until lunch. I convinced everybody to go to Ridgewood Brothers again, and we waited in line until Zach told us we were too late to eat outside. Instead, everyone brought food back to the shop and we ate in the back.

I went with Zach and Gary to swap a projector for a touch panel at Crawford a bit after lunch, then stayed after they left to help demo the new equipment. When I got back to the shop, they were unloading a truckload of new touch panels.

Once back inside, Zach convinced Ben to let us go home at 3:30. Ben had to start reviews, so he kicked me out of my office for the rest of the day and I went to the back and chatted with some of the guys until it was time to go.

Autumn went with a friend after school, but I still had to get Eaddie, so I ran home for a helmet and picked her up. Then she wanted to go see Summer at the shop for a bit before going back to the house to ride her bike. I finally got my letter from Sheri, and as predicted, she had the most to say by a whole lot.

I tinkered around the house picking up random things until Eaddie got back and wanted to watch some House. Summer came over after the gym with a frozen skillet meal, so I cooked that and we watched TV while we ate. Autumn eventually got home after going to the school play, and everyone slowly trickled off to bed.

When things just aren’t going your way, buy Doge.

Ex Officio

It was still a bit rainy today after some storms last night. I never woke up or heard anything big, so I guess it wasn’t as bad as it looked on the radar. Work was pretty uneventful again until the afternoon. A bunch of us went to Linh’s and actually had good, fast service. Then I went to the junior high to help Brody with some stuff.

School was nearly out, so I waited for Eaddie to get out before heading back to my office. We loaded up some more stuff to bring back home, and then finished the day there before picking up Autumn at the high school.

We went by the shop to see Summer, and she was forced to work down in the pit after someone called in. She had a pretty bad day, so we waited and then all went out to eat at La Huerta for dinner. After we stuffed ourselves, I took the girls home and laid down with Summer for some TV before heading back home to bed.

Not Baader, Meinhof.

Off the Hook

We had a meeting first thing this morning where Gary basically griped at everyone for showing up at the shop after he literally told everyone to be scarce while the administorm (administratornado?) passes. Evidently Alan came down from upstairs after having some testing issues, and made a comment about seven of us just hanging around the shop. Nevermind that everyone had business there. We’re just the jerkoffs that sit around on computers all day.

I kept super busy all day, but made some time to learn some stuff too, which felt pretty good. I spent a pretty significant part of the day on my phone, because as Ben joked, Brody is an old soul that likes to just pick up the phone and call rather than text or email. I wasn’t terifficaly successful in my own endeavors, but at least I got to a point that I could admit failure.

Ben joined us for lunch at Quiznos after having to bail yesterday. I went with a 4-inch sandwich and cup of soup this time, which actually turned out pretty good. It was still far too expensive, but the food was good and I was plenty filled. Their strawberry lemonade is fantastic too.

At the end of the day, I packed up my speakers to avoid any negative impressions from outside the department. Fantasies of ruling come and go, though even then I could never resist poking the bear. Change requires belligerence.

Summer picked up the girls so they wouldn’t have to wait in the rain, and I went by the shop to visit after work. Eaddie made me play some Tetris while Autumn hid upstairs. When they left for home, I stopped by Taco John’s for a cheap dinner. The evening went by quickly, as they have been. I’ve had a much harder time getting motivated to clean on account of how tired I’ve been. I’m not sure how to remedy that, but maybe some sleep will help.

These go to eleven!
